Wheatley is about to have a real life adventure "In spaaaaaaace!"

It appears someone over at NASA is a Portal  fan, as the image of Aprature’s sarcastically evil (yet loveable) space core Wheatley has been engraved onto a very valuable piece of equipment, which will be blasting off into space this coming Friday.

The anonymous tech used some kind of laser tool (I’m not an engineer so I don’t know the technical term) to permanently graffito tag Wheatley and his memorable "In spaaaaaaace!" quote onto a special panel destined to be used on the International Space Station.

Once the folks over at Valve got a hold of this news, they couldn’t help but give this hilariously awesome response on the official Portal site:

"NASA in no way officially endorses secretly laser-engraving characters from Portal onto their spacecraft. Believe it or not, they don't even officially endorse Portal 2, despite the fact that it's a really excellent game."

Whoever is responsible for this is an awesome human being and deserves all of the cake!
