Wii U can make old Wii games prettier

NeoGAF has identified a benefit to the Wii U that we probably weren’t aware of, HD Wii games. Well, not quite HD, but the Wii U does a much better job cleaning up edges and making games look noticeably better. Lets take a look at an example video.

This process is known as upscaling, and while it won’t necessarily add more detail, it does use a variety of visual tricks to make the images appear HD. Basically taking something built in 480p, and converting it up to 1080p. Hot damn I can’t wait to play some Mario Galaxy 2 on my Wii U. What about you g1s?
