Xbox Live Update beta registration open
Major Nelson is looking for a few good men and women to help test out Xbox Live's new features. On his official blog, he stated that users are urged to act quickly, as numbers are very limited.
The new update will include the following major updates:
- Internet Explorer for Xbox
- Personalized dashboard recommendations
- Enhanced category search and discovery features
Users who are interested in participating in the beta will be asked to sign a non-disclousure agreement (NDA) and take a brief 5-minute survey. Registration for the beta can be found here.
It's full, I believe.
true, very true
Knowing Microsoft (and not being a hater, I love my Xbox!), they wouldn't allow you to download anything. If they allowed downloads on Internet Explorer, that would be hacker heaven.
It would be helpful if it let you download Google Chrome or Firefox
Actually, that's not true in all cases. For example, a few days ago, I posted the news article that Final Fantasy Versus XIII was still alive and kicking (http://www.screwattack.com/news/final-fantasy-versus-xiii-isnt-dead-afte...). Later that day, it was picked up by ScrewAttack, and even made that day's Hard News.
It's not necessarily the g1's fault. It's the SA editor who pushes the articles to the News section's fault....I think.
Actually, Sean and Ryan have been timely with most of my stuff, posting it up within the day. This, unfortunately, just happened to be a rare instance from my standpoint.
While it is unfortunate that it is now out-of-date, I kind of expected it to fill up very quicky, as they usually do. Thanks, though! :)
Agreed. I see the news here about a day or two later after it has been up on other sites.
Yet another reason why ScrewAttack is too slow at publishing g1 posts. It filled up within the hour of his post, actually.
And yes, I'm all signed up! (After I run the beta registration app, that is.)
Already full :(
Based on their history of releasing the updates it's going to probably get rolled out in early November.
Any word on when the update will be released for the public?
