Zynga is called out for their upcoming game
Zynga has just been called out for trying to cash in on an indie developer's idea. Tiny Tower is a game from three man team NimbleBit and they have found great success in the free-to-play model. Now Zynga has a game called Dream Heights coming to iOS very soon, which looks quite similar to Tiny Tower. NimbleBit took notice of this and in an open letter to Zynga they congratulate them (tongue in cheek) and express gratitude for being Zynga's inspiration. Just take a look for yourself.

Always nice to see Zynga called out as the uncreative thieves that they are...

I am addicted to Tiny Tower. Play it everyday. I think I am on 143 levels right now. I just do 5 minutes a day and that is it. I dont know why I am so hooked on this game.

Ever hear of SimTower? Maxis did it back in 1994: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SimTower

I think that Tiny Tower and SimTower, albeit the same concept, have some differences that make them different games rather then blatant copies.

That's definitely true.
