I always thought that must piss Cranky Kong off a bit. Mario and Link look like they haven't aged a day since they first appeared. But he’s confined to a rocking char and has to watch his son get all the fame. At least Link has an excuse he's an Elf and is immortal. But Mario's just a plumber and was created at the same time as Donkey Kong so what’s up with that? Ok I might be over thinking this... Any way great vid very informative.
Link's not immortal lol. It's not even comfirmed that every Link in the game is the same. That and if you've played all of them you'd notice that he's always changing. Link to the Past, WindWaker, and Ocarina of Time are proof of that.
And yes, I agree, Cranky must be pissed the hell off that he's really the only nintendo character to age completely lol.
That was a great video. Very informative, I learned alot from it. The original Donkey Kong is a great game. No matter how old it is. And DKC is probably one of my favorite games of all time. I hope Nintendo makes a new DK game soon for the Wii. Dk64 was good, so maybe something like that.

Good vid as always, but your "theory" doesn't feature so much guesswork this time around. While other elements of classic gaming such as the true Zelda timeline are debated endlessly by gamers and geeks around the world, no one's questioning the fact that Cranky Kong is meant to be an older version of the original DK. A better question to ask would be: why the red tie? In your vid on Mega Man, you explained why the Blue Bomber ended up being blue, and that blew my mind.
