I bought my Max Memory 32Mb memory card from HMV last year beacuse Sony fails at exceeding 8Mb, which I could fill in my sleep. It was great as I didn't have to mess about with having to change memory cards around when I change games, making it easier to manage your saves and faster to get stuck into the game itself. I would have recommended buying third party cards to anyone who, like myself, had too many saves to fit on one official card.
All went well until 2 days ago, when I turned on my PS2 and EVERYTHING WAS GONE - All my saves I had built up over the last 3 or 4 years gone in an instant!
Sad thing is, i'm not the only person to have their data erased by third party memory cards and I sure as hell won't be the last, but if you love your saves, just but 4 Sony memory cards. If you risk it by buying a third party card, back up your data on either a Sony card or your PC!
Needless to say that Datel will be getting a very personal e-mail anytime soon!
wow that really hurts, but
wow that really hurts, but from ur expericance is the 3rd party memory card a lot slower than a sony one, i have used a friend of mines once and it seemed less good in general
slowness
The only games I owned that showed any sign of dislike toward the 3rd party card were Guitar hero III and Manhunt. Apart from that, it preformed just like a Sony card up until a few days ago.
Bow down to me, for I am your god!
