This is actually a few months old, but I figured I'd post it here for the G1s to see and enjoy (or loathe). Yes, it's made in World of Warcraft and the song itself is based on a character from WoW.
Anyway - This is my first attempt ever at making a machinema video and I chose to use the song "Captain Placeholder."
For those who may not know, Captain Placeholder was a temporary NPC in Menethil harbor during the WoW Beta that transported players to Auberdine before the boat paths were implemented. Once WoW was released, the boats were in and the Captain was gone.
However, after WoW's launch, there were some glitches with the boat pathing, which made Blizzard re-instate Placeholder. Many players enjoyed him being there, since they didn't have to wait for the boat to travel to Kalimdor and back. Alas, the boats were fixed and the Captain was forced to retire once again.
I did not start playing the game until about a year or two after the launch, but I found out about this song from a friend and decided to make my first video of it.
Yeah, I know there are a lot of things I could improve upon, and any comments/suggestions you have I will take into account if/when I make my next vid.
