G1's, I need your help!
That's right. A contest. My computer is dead. Luckily its not the hard drive: It's the motherboard. So I need to upgrade. The computer is about 6 years old anyway. I built a custom machine that will run phenomenally for about 300 dollars, but I lack funds. So, I need everyone's help! Contest information is in the video. In the meantime, I think I know a way to get Part 2 of the Dreamcast video up this week.
Wish I could donate but I have a small problem that they call having no money.
Anyway thats what you get for buying the crap they call a Dell. *looks at front of computer, and moniter, and keyboard, and speakers, and mouse.* DAMMIT!
Oh yeah..... FIRST! I've always wanted to do that.

I bet you could save a lot of money by replacing the motherboard. You can find just about anything on ebay including dell and gateway parts. Or you could get any motherboard so long as it's compatible with your other parts. Just as a ballpark figure, since I don't know what you have, you'd probably only have to spend $20 - $30 with shipping.
PC building is a hobby of mine and I've found used parts to be fairly reliable. Just make sure you get a guaranty it works before bidding or using buy now.
Hope this helps, fellow videographer.
Later, Kain

I'm an old school gamer, but I'm still hip. Wait, when referring to oneself as, "Hip", does it reverse its meaning?

I'm actually a computer technician for my full time job. I know I COULD find a replacement board, but its just not worth it to me. The PC is old and I would rather just upgrade the thing.
I do appreciate the advice though. Thanks for looking out!

There is nothing wrong with asking for a donation. You provide a service, for no reason other than to entertain. Well, I guess there are other reasons, but whatever. PM me and I'll see about getting you a contribution. I have some stuff to do for the next couple of hours, so take your time.
First... Oh well

Trust me, I don't like Dell.

When you are in college, you will take anything! =)
