With the brand new Guitar Hero game for the DS, I was sort of unsure if I liked it or not. then I figured out this wonderful little thing called the grip skin. I knew you could switch the original out but I never even imagined making a custom one by scratch. When I figured out I could I went full throttle.
The first one I made was basically a skull drawn with pencil and a couple little doodles here and there. It sucked. Which is why I did not bother taking a picture of it.
After competing that disgrace (actually after looking over it again, it wasn't that bad...) I made another one. This one I used using gimp, and it was so much better. I used a Japanese flag and just cropped it. However it needed more so I added a skull and my name in a Japanese-like font.
Personally I thought it was very successful.
It kinda looks like It says Jan instead of Ian, but whatever
After showing my brother my new skin, he got all excited and begged me to make him one. (He has his own copy of the game.
His took like 15 minutes to make. but even though it was made quick it was still really good (in my opinion)
(His name is Blake which is why it says Blake)
The Final one I made was for ScrewAttack. I rushed it out and it's a little sloppy but still ok.
