Hey g1s! Series 3 of Still Gaming debuted just a few days ago. I wanted to get this posted on ScrewAttack first, but revver totally screwed up.
Series 3 started off with a bang with a review of Soulcalibur IV for the Xbox 360.
ScrewAttack exclusive information!
This week there SHOULD be a short review of 1942: Joint Strike and a FULL review of Bionic Commando: Rearmed coming out. A double dosage of SG.
MORE AFTER THE POST BREAK.
I’m going to try and post episodes HERE first, but keep in mind that blip.tv may offer HD, but their framerate is pretty much crap.
Hopefully this is the first of many reviews for Series 3. As it is right now, Still Gaming's new format looks like it will work very, very well.
Also, be sure to check out ClassicGameRoom.net for more awesome reviews! Without The Game Room, Still Gaming would not exist. They currently have over THREE HUNDRED videos related to reviews on the site.
You can also check out their YouTube account here.
A bit longer than it had to be, that's for SURE! Try making them short and sweet. Maybe 5 to 6 minutes max. I did like the FF7 joke, that made me laugh out loud. The ending was okay too.
4 to 6 minutes is how long MOST full reviews will be, but sometimes they get away from me. I had to trim this crazy bastard down from 14. I know that the YouTube generation has a very difficult time dealing with videos longer than 3 minutes, but most viewers of SG seem to be forgiving about that.
There will also be a lot of short reviews that will be between 90 seconds and 3 minutes.
I've got nothing wrong with long videos, not at all. It's just in this one there did seem to be a few parts that could've been summed up into a few words, rather than a few sentences. No problem though, still very well produced, good quality footage, and you made your point. Although with all the things you say aren't good, and the things you poke fun at, it does seem a little odd that you believe this game should be in anyone's PS3 or 360 collection. I'm personally not getting it because the PS3 version takes up 8gbs of space, screw that.
In case you're wondering how that's possible:
6 gigs - Install
2 gigs - Save file (I'm assuming this is due to the Create-a-Fighter, or as I call it Create-a-Calibur)

Nice Review, ur right SC2 was ground braking at the time but even though this isnt its still great, online is a big plus. just hate cheap players & Quitters.
That footage was from way early in my SCIV playtime. Yun-seong has gotten a lot more dangerous. I only played Soul Calibur II for a month or so, so of course I wouldn't stand a chance against anyone that's played as Voldo for eight or more years.
I've always loved this series and this one is no exception. I didn't exactly agree with your opinion on the graphics (I loved em...especially the characters), but overall you had very awesome points that I very much agree on...
No Tag battles online = GAY!!!
Limited Single Player = BALLS!!!
Boobliscious game play = EXCELLENT!!!
I must also comment that LEE is like a freaking god at SC. I mean, i've been good at SC since II came out but seeing him chaining combos together like that was amazing. Probably beyond anything I could do...
I don't like the people I play against online on the 360. They ALWAYS play so cheap and i'm always forced to play just as cheap. I always get my ass cheaply handed to me. I think it is safe to say that i'd be honored to get my ass handed to me by you, Lee, a true SC master...

She has come back to haunt the video game community yet again! I actually didn't notice she voiced Xianghua. Doesn't she also voice Taki? Taki kind of sounds like Faye Valentine so I thought she voiced Taki too...
Anyway, awesome review as always Mr. Lee. Did you recently get a 360? You're usually doing the PS2 games.
i have always enjoyed your videos even though the only ones i have seen were this and your review on river city ransom, but they were both great reviews
Oh sure, steal my thunder
Oh sure, steal my thunder =P

You guys work together, don't you?
(By the way, I'm DHMD from YouTube)
See you online.
Ok...

o.o I'm confused
Isn't the game on a disc? You have to install games on the PS3? Wha?
Actually...
The PS3 install for SoulCalibur IV is optional.
I played it for an hour before I went in the options & saw I could install the game.
What are you talking about?
What are you talking about? This was ten miniuts of pure ass kickery!
Agree'd
although 9 minutes long, I never felt bored w/ it
Boobs

Xbox version is crap
heres the reason for the xbox 360 reason sucking. D-pad, fighting games are for the d-pad, and the xboxes one sucks.
Um
Last I checked, fighting games are best played with a joystick or analog stick.
I still hate the 360 controller, but I hate all controllers of this generation.
The only one that doesn't suck is the Wii classic controller, which is the controller Nintendo should've used on the N64 and Gamecube.
