Weapon Review - The Pyro Update

Hey g1's, now, the heavy update has been out for about 23 hours now, and since I still haven't unlocked all 3 Weapons (I have only unlocked the sandvich, I still need Natascha and The Killing Gloves of Boxing), I will be reviewing all of the weapons from the old Pyro Update!

Now, the flare gun wasn't a good choice Valve made. Sure, it might be good that it finally gives the Pyro a chance against Snipers, but it changes how the Pyro is suppose to be played. Originally, the Pyro was only a close range class. If he came into a fight with a Heavy or a camping Sniper, he would be dead in near seconds (if the Heavy or Sniper was good), but now, he can just stay back, firing flares at a Heavy or Sniper. Now, this wouldn't be bad if the flares just hit you and you lost some damage, but the flares, if you are not a pyro, get you caught on fire. Now if you don't play TF2, that means you HAVE to find water, or a health pack, or you will eventually burn to death. This makes the already over powered class even more over powered. But it does make up (sort of) for you having to reload after every shot. So if you miss an incoming solider, it is a good chance you won't make it out alive. Bottom line, makes already overpowered class, even more powerful, NEXT!

Now, when the update first came out, this was probably the worst enemy to ANY class that wasn't a Pyro. It gave the Pyro 100% crits if he is attacking them from behind (The original flamethrower could kill an enemy in seconds without crits) and it gave the Pyro +50 to his maximum health. Now, this made EVERYONE even more scared to turn a corner, for being burned to death without the chance to fight back. It also made the Pyro the class with the second most health, making him even more Powerful than the Solider or the Demoman. VALVe actually released a patch a few weeks after the update, to take away the +50 health upgrade. But that was actually a good thing, because now we see a mix of original and backburner. because on the original flamethrower, you have a compressed air compresser shooter that shoots out compressed air. What that does is make it so you can fire rockets and pipe bombs back at the people who shot them at you. Now, with the Pyro back at 175 health, the backburner is a welcome edition to the game. PUSH LETAL CART!

Now, the first thing you can see form this and the original, is that it looks FAR MORE BAD ASS! That is enough for some people to switch from the original to the axtinguisher! But is it a good weapon? Now, the axtinguisher, if you are fighting against an enemy who is not on fire, you can basically call yourself a dead man. But, if the enemy is on fire, than you have 100% chance of crits, which makes it a very deadly weapon at close range. But even if someone is on fire, you might want to stick to just firing them, because by the time you have switched to the axe, they probably would have ran away for health, or start to shoot you, and almost killing you. But, it is a VERY good finishing weapon, and it does prove that wrapping barbwire around anything makes it 10X more badass, a nice melee weapon. ON NOM NOM NOM NOM!

Which one of you wankers want to come for a little ride?
