what has disappointed you in gaming?

So recently i was finally able to beat the original metroid on the nes which is something i've always wanted to do because one it looked great and is held in really high esteem among gamers and two i wanted to play that one before i picked up the metroid prime series. Overall i found the game to be amazing. It was extremely difficult but it kept me wanting to play. It was the most satisfying feeling when i finally made it out of mother brain's lair and the whole place blew up. But i had been really looking foward to fighting ridley because i know how he/her/it is considered to be Samus Aran's arch nemesis by many gamers and has become a staple boss in the series. Although it was interesting to fight the eight bit rendition of the space pirate i was overall extremely disappointed in how easy ridley was to beat and especially compared to how hard the rest of the game had been. All i had to do was stand under the step and i never took one hit. It was a huge disappointment to me. So my question to you is: What has been one of your biggest disappointments in gaming?

im gonna say the entire game

im gonna say the entire game called crisis core, it just made me sad :(

Sequels.

I know it sounds weird but sometimes they puke sequels out and ruin what made the original games magic. Some examples; Crash Bandicoot lost it after the second one, Spyro the Dragon lost it after the second one, and Tomb Raider lost it when Angel of Darkness came out. For Tomb Raider it was the loss of Core. For the other two it's the same thing with Disney sequels the say OK kids like it so lets keep cranking them out even though we cheapen everything.

The Wii

alot of the best game series have been made too casual friendly, too many minigames, and the awful controls

I'd have to say...

The length of Ratchet: Gladiator (or "Ratchet: Deadlocked" for you in American). That and the fact like it was an entire game of Annhilation Nation from Ratchet & Clank 3!

The whole anticipation for

The whole anticipation for games, and the fact they end up poor.
Example: Assassin's Creed.

I would have to

I would have to say...hum...Super Mario Sunshine, the whole thing, mainly beacause of comparison of 64, and the anticipation of sunshine, because it wasn't a launch title or anything, and then, well, I think we all know the rest.

The gods don't seem to favor me, but I kinda like it better that way.-Final Fantasy XII

mario kart wii

I just expected more of the game

------------------------------------------
now if youl excuse me im of to save the world!!!

I Despise the AI in that

I Despise the AI in that game.

Actually...

The PS3. Please don't kill me, PS-fanboys, but hear me out. I used to be a big PS-fan, really, and I was expecting a lot from the PS3, but it's just disappointing..

Elder Scrolls Oblivion

Great game but the leveling system pissed me off. One of the great experiences in Morrowind was getting your ass handed to you in the begining but then going back with a leveled character and kicking ass. None of that in Oblivion.

You know how some people are chocoholics, well I'm an alcoholic!

Daikatana

Daikatana

Good Question.

Two of my biggest disapointments in gaming:

The length of Fable: The Lost Chapters. Even though it's the extended version, there's really only one more big mission. I still found it short and beat it in 27 hours. The length of the first Fable is just ridiculous.

And the second is the final boss in Twilight Princess. I love this game, and I hold it above almost all other Zelda games, but Ganon/dorf was waaay too easy for me. You have to beat him four times if I'm not mistaken and each one of them was not as challenging as I thought they were going to be. Not to mention that Zant was the easiest douche alive. I guess I was expecting more because I felt the previous bosses were waaaay more difficult.

This holiday season

Aside from Fallout 3 and Rock Band 2 there just isn't anything coming this holiday season that I really want. I know people are going to say I'm wrong and name off a long list of games but compared to last year this year feels...weak.

Sonic next gen

I have always been a huge sonic fan. So when the game Sonic the Hedgehog for 360 was announced I had to a buy an xbox for myself just to play the game. the game was pathetic. How did that game even make it to market in that condition? Here's hoping that Sonic unleashed will return the series to greatness. I won't be holding my breath tho.

Super Mario Galaxy being way

Super Mario Galaxy being way too short.

i gotta say

i was disappointed at myself because i was so horrible at ninja gaiden
