The Seventh Generation started almost 3 years ago, so I think it's time to make a list of my favorite games of this generation. This does count both exclusives and non exclusives!
Please...pretty please...do not make smartass comments about me being judgmental ,bias, a little bitch etc. You know what, saying THOSE things to anyone on this post whether it is me or someone who wrote a comment, MAKES YOU A FUCKING HYPOCRITE! Feel free to post your opinions though. It is very nice to know that a community on the interwebs is able to raise their voices.
#10! - Devil May Cry 4 (XBOX 360) (PS3)
Wow it is good to start off an such a good game! DMC4 is an excellent game that is on the 360 and the PS3. Personally, I think the PS3 version is better because DMC was made for the PS. Sure it has a lot of repitition, but two things make up for that! Dante becomes a playable character halfway through the story. Guess what? They take a page out of Dead or Alive's book and add bouncy jugs!
#9 - Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii)
While the artistic design and graphics are beautiful, it suffers from what all Metroid games suffer from: redundancy. The aiming system is excellent, but it falls short from the first game.
#8 - Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
The graphics are amazing, the sound is amazing, the gameplay is amazing it is just genius. But it also suffers from certain aspects. Some of the power-ups are just half-assed, which destroys the formula SMB3 + SM64 = Super Mario Galaxy. In the first place, it wasn't the game I was hoping for, but it pretty damn sweet.
#7 - Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3) (XBOX 360)
Wow! What a great game! One of the best FPS of the generation is just awesome. When I first played the demo at my friend's house, I almost said "Get the fuck out!". The graphics are amazing but it suffers from one OMGWTF moment (Shared with Screwattack's Top Ten OMGWTF Moments) A Nuclear strike! Oh my god, what the fuck!
#6 - BIOSHOCK (XBOX 360) and soon to the (PS3)
When I played the demo, I was in shock from it's genius. BIO-shock, that is! I was creeped out at first, but the gore, story and gameplay made me wanna pee my pants in BIOshock! The best FPS of the generation so far, playing through the entire game at my friends house is gonna put me into BIOshock when it comes out to PS3. Okay I'll stop using the pun...
#5 - Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)
Superior to Melee in every aspect, Brawl is just awesome! Being able to choose from over 35 chracters, create custom stages, fight on creative ones, new items, easier customization and new stadium features, Brawl is just a better experience overall. The soundtrack is a compilation of all the great music from Nintendo, Sonic and MGS games, it is arguably one of the best gaming soundtracks evar!
#4 - Ninja Gaiden Sigma (PS3)
You know how Ninja Gaiden Black was Uber-Ninja Gaiden for the XBOX? Well Sigma is Uber-Ninja Gaiden for the PS3. The graphics, while they don't look extremely next-gen, look excellent for a sort of early Seventh Gen game. The addition of Rachel (Complete with bouncies), and a complete graphical overhaul also with new weapons, make Ninja Gaiden Sigma superior to the other two.
#3 - Assassin's Creed (XBOX 360) (PS3)
It was so hard to pick between this game and #2 for the #2 spot, but due to being only single-player, I guess this wins. This is pretty much a combination of Prince of Persia and Metal Gear Solid. You do some pretty bitchin' acrobatic moves with some stealthy assassinations make it a pretty good game. The storyline is kinda meh though...
#2 - Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3)
Wow...just wow. Whe I preordered this game the day before it's release, I was convinced it would be awesome. So much so that I bought a Dualshock3 (DualBIOshock)and the Metal Gear Solid Essential Collection. Then I got it the next day...I was fucking amazed. The graphics were fucking awesome, especially on a 1080P HDMI TV, with smooth animation and good voice acting. The gameplay was solid as metal, the cutscenes were amazing, but their fight scenes weren't was cool as DMC4. The boss fights were very note worthy and the weapons were fucking awesome. You could unlock costumes (You can fucking get Altair's suit!), music, photos and weapons via passwords and downloads. The only problems were that there were to many cutscenes, so they might as well just add another two or three acts to even it out and that the achievements were so fucking hard to do. Oh yeah! MGO is good too
#1 - Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii) (GCN)
The second I made my file, I knew I was in for a treat. Unlike the very beginning of Ocarina of Time, the beginning of Twilight Princess has some storyline significance. The story is pretty good and the graphics were awesome. Sure, the GCN's graphics were slightly superior, but the Wii control was Solid...Metal Gear Solid. Aiming was as smooth as Metroid Prime 3's aiming. The weapons were fun to use and the dungeons, while not very challenging, were incredibly unique, and the somewhat repetitive music was good to the different tunes and mixes of it with some Ocarina music in the mix. The excellent part: The boss fights! Every boss fight was amazing, especially Morpheel, Argorok, Zant and Ganondorf! This is an excellent game with terrific control, music, gameplay, value and is just plain fun!
Before you go bitchy on me saying that all of these are major games! There were very few third-party games!
I'll tell you this: This list was so fucking hard to complete! All of these excellent games and putting them into a top ten? That was hard! Not even close to as hard as BigD's top 100 list, but fucking hard.
LOL, that's what she said.

good list
only things I would change is put Ninja Gaiden 2 instead of sigma and Halo 3 instead of metroid, I'm not sure how I would put those 10 in order but that's just me.
good list
but i don't think brawl is superior to melee in every aspect in fact brawl seemed pretty half assed if you ask me they had seven years and they could only come up with like 36 characters that's pretty sad plus a crap online mode. I don't hate the game in fact i play it often i just think it gets too much praise. And I wouldn'y even think of putting Assasin's creed on my list. but nice list anyway keep up the good work.
Thanks because...
It's nice to know that people are actually READING the descriptions rather than just being like "okay, DMC4 at 10...Twilight Princess at #1? OMGWTF?" so thanks for reading at least one of the descriptions.
Thank god no one said anything about the bioshock pun...but that might mean they didn't read it...
actually
metroid deserves to be on this list cuz its a damn fine game. Assassin's creed could've been replaced with halo 3 and where's gta4
oooooo
yea, forgot about GTA IV, deff should be up there.
about GTAIV
I didn't really like GTAIV that much. It didn't add enough content to make it completely different than San Andreas.

wow i totally just relized
wow i totally just relized how cheap and lazy i am, i don't own any of those games and played only a few. i dissapoint myself
Do not be disappointed...
Just be happy you got a chance to play them.
Some key games were absent.
Good list. Some key games were absent though.
GTA 4 does deserve a spot. I'd replace Sigma with NG 2. Assassin's Creed was A-MA-ZING!!!! I also share your feelings about Brawl while I'd replace DMC 4 with either Halo 3 or Overlord. Good list.
Also I have CoD4 for PC. A damn fine game that suffers from childish strategies online. Bah... I'm no good at FPSs.
Before you state that "GTA4
Before you state that "GTA4 does deserve a spot" look at a comment towards the beginning of the comments section. About NG2, I did love it, but it was just...annoying. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of challenge, but NG2 went back to the NES NG by being cheap at some spots. Once again, I'm not saying it's a bad quality, it is just that when a camera SUCKS in a game, I get really pissed. That's why Sigma is not closer to #1

nice list
I dont agree with all of the games mostly becuse I dont like the FPS and I never got in to MGS (it wasnt bad... I just didnt like it.) To me though Mario Galaxy is number one, its one of the best games Ive played in a long time, but thats me. If we all liked the same games then gaming would be pretty boring. Also Zelda TP does rock but it was suppose to be for just the GCN at first so... i dont know if I count it in this gen.. but meh its still a fantastic game non the less.
nice list but..
i dont agree with galaxy
the power ups were a little disappointment but it was the same with mario 64
i would put it higher but its your opinion
Nice list, mate. I agree
Nice list, mate. I agree with most of those choices, and while I'm not entirely sure if I would give it the #1 spot, Twilight Princess is definitely up there in my list of Top 5 favorite games (period). Indeed, the temples, while not very challenging, are still thoroughly enjoyable, and the boss fights in Twilight Princess are some of the best that I've ever experienced in a game. So, to keep this post relatively short, it is - hands down - my personal favorite in the series.
Again, 'tis a fine list. Thanks for sharin' that. ;)
