The second law of travel on Gran Gaia: A trip without healing medicine is a trip to the next world.
Ever since monsters and the Asmodeus Complex became prolific across Gran Gaia, the necessity of medicines has grown exponentially, to the point where it becomes a challenge to make strong medicine as cheaply as possible. While Life magic and healing jutsu are always welcome, nothing beats a pack of medicine to tend to injuries and exhaustion after a battle for survival.
Healing Packs are the most common seen on the field. These medical kits, loaded with medicinal salves, herbal juices, and bandages, are all infused with Life energies to accelerate the healing process. Special medicinal components in these packs provide telomeric extensions to prolong cell death, allowing for rapid healing without jeopardizing the recipient's lifespan. A lone traveling warrior only has need for at most nine, though military campaigns may stretch that limit to, and possibly beyond, that breaking point.
Refreshers are drinks infused with ethereal energy, which suppliments and replenishes what is already present in the imbiber's aura. Nutrients in the mixture allow for a safe infusion and promote natural regeneration of mana; both things are needed by mages of all disciplines, as only wielding magic weapons in a fashion deemed "normal" is free of cost to the user.
Spiritual Energy Drinks, like their Refresher counterparts, provide a safe infusion of chi, which is typically expended when utilizing aura skills and enchanting physical weapons. No true frontline fighter is truly noteworthy without a cache of these potent tonics at their disposal. The miracle of the age is condensing both Refreshers and Energy Drinks into the space of a single shot to minimize downtime.
While medicines and medics can help prolong combat performance, there comes a time when death eventually sets in from excessive injuries. In such cases, cards inscribed with the likeness of Asura, the Golden Phoenix, may be used to restore life to the freshly fallen by drawing the soul back into the body and mending the sundered spirit link. The potency of such magic is intense to the point that, once it is released, the card is rapidly incinerated. While Phoenix Force is a common spell amongst medics, Phoenix Cards are kept on hand as a safety precaution.
