I was only just reading Game Masters 100 Greatest Video Games of all time (came free with there 200th issue) and they think that GTA: San Andreas is the greatest, Not saying that this game was bad but I dont think its the Greatest. But then I started reading another book called The 100 Best Video Games by gameplayer. But this time they think Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the N64 is the best. But whom should I belive? A book or a Magazine within a Magazine? I belive the Screwattack team should do a poll where people can say what there favorite Video Game is, add up the tally then we might find out that Super Mario World od Giutar Hero 3 could be the best.

The greatest?
"Greatest" is pretty vague - for how does one determine what qualities make something great?
The first video game ever, "tennis for two" (NOT pong, this one had a side view and a net) was made back when computers were still vaccum-tube'd and took up entire rooms.
Not only being the first video game makes it historic, but it was actually responsible for making clone games possible - there was a lawsuit between Pong creators and the creators of a similar game, which I cannot remember. The makers of Tennis for Two came in and showed their game was similar to both, and made before either of them - opening the door for games to be "cloned" or, to put it bluntly, ripped off for generations to come.
....But Gears of War kicks ass.

Tetris. I win. Seriously, it put the Gameboy in everyone's hands back in the day and is one of the best selling games on the handhelds. But Ocarina of Time is epic... Dammit! Now I have to play a little OoT tonight.
