How can Mario who has been Successful with Platforming, puzzle, and sport games but great with RPG games? What makes his RPG games stand out from games like Final Fantasy, Golden Sun, and Chrono Trigger? Well here are my top 5 reason why I think Mario has done well with his RPG games.
5. Creative Worlds: Whats one thing thats important for a RPG to be successful the worlds, the characters visit. And Mario has had some sweet worlds in his RPG games. Everything from grassy fields to dark castles, the Mario RPG games had them all. It didn't matter if the worlds ub the game were made in 2d or 3d or even made out of polygons or paper, they were full of life and were creative.
4. Humor: Yes Humor made Mario stand out from the rest. If it was the classic fanting or having Luigi become Mr. L, the Mario rpgs made you laugh as you moved on throughout the game. The humor was over the top like in Ratchet and Clank but just enough laugh at one or two gags in these games.
3. Mario Elements: In most RPGs you walk around climb a ladder or two, go up and down stairs, fly, swim, and ride on something pretty standared. But in Mario rpg games you go through the worlds in the Mario style, by jumping from thing to thing, jump on enemies, using your party members to solve puzzles, and so on. Thats what made Mario different from FF, and the others.
2. The Story: Well we all know Mario isn't known for having great stories, I mean all you do is rescue the Princess. But thats not the same in his rpg games. You everything from a sowrd falling from sky, to time travel to even having some dude forcing Bowser and Peach to get married, wow. Even though there is not voice acting and you have read the text boxes, its worth it, you'll be missing some great writing and story telling if you didn't.
1. Gameplay: How the hell can Mario's gameplay be different from Final Fantasy's there both turn based. Well thats true but Mario's gameplay lets you be more in control of your characters. In SMRPG you can attack twice if you timed it corretly, in Paper Mario and in PM: TTYD you can attack several times in one turn, and charge an attack to deal more damge, and Preform Broattacks in Mario & Luigi. Instead of just telling your characters to attack and watching them, Mario lets your be in more control to have different outcomes in each turn. Thats why his RPG games are so fun to play.
Okay list
those are the things that make the Mario RPG's great, however, i don't think the order was right. The humor is always important to me, however i do consider that "story" material. Same goes for "mario elements", it could have just gone in gameplay.
Also a lot of gramatical mistakes.
"messing"=missing?
"2d or 3d or made"? I think you mean, "it doesn't matter if his games were in 2d, 3d, or made in polygons."
small tip, try taking the time to profreed seeing as this was a kinda small blog it would have took a lazy.
