big plus for finally making an audible character that feels clumsy/average than the silent and invisible super soldier you were in the last game jocuri cu impuscaturi
No. All 3 of the Far Cry games are completely unrelated from each other, they're more like spiritual successors to each other rather than direct sequels.
One of my favorite Far Cry Moments:
I was scoping out an enemy camp trying to come up with the best strategy on how to dispatch each of them quickly and well enough to where they wouldn't even know what hit them. I was just about to make my move when a fucking TIGER showed up and killed all eight or so of the bad guys. It was awesome, the tiger killed everyone, the victory flag raised and the other guys showed to tell me how well a job I did and occupy the camp and I didn't even have to lift a finger.
I love this game. The thing I was most skeptical of was the crafting aspect. I've played RPGs here and there that had a crafting or cooking element. Sometimes, collecting ingredients would involve too much time, and when you did cook that thing that you thought was going to be awesome, you would find something better by killing an enemy or looting a chest. Far Cry 3 has absolutely none of that nonsense. Even if the crafting wasn't good, this game would still be amazing. If you pass on this game, you're doing yourself a great disservice.
Normally I'm not a fan of FPS's but the trailers for this had me interested, and based on its positive reviews, I might have to pick this up at some point.
Bingo, i think MWF paints a better picture of what the multiplayer centric IP that currently exists. Maybe it's because i grew up playing the original CoD games it's hard for me to think of the new CoD games as the same IP
This game looks like a significant improvement over the second one (It was a decent game and I enjoyed it but it got too repetitive and monotonous for my liking and that kept me from playing through it more than once)
I am enjoying the heck out of this game. It has had me excited since E3 2011, and it is living up to expectations and exceeding them.
P.S. - Sam, that was a great review, I really hope you continue doing more reviews. Superior description and attention to detail in this and previous reviews man.
The only things that are wrong with this game are the menu's in the pc version. In most of them you can't even scroll and it's really poorly optimized for a mouse. Also you can't map the sub menus to a key, so say if you want to have your crafting menu in a hot key, tough luck because you can't.
Also you can't play with the keyboard/mouse and joystick simultaneously, so if you like driving with your gamepad like I do you can't use it.
Sad to see Ubisoft drop the ball in such easy things to deliver. Borderlands 2 did it perfectly so why can't I do the same in Far Cry 3?

I gotta admit Sam, this was a lot like hearing one of Jared's reviews but with a bit more emotion in it. I liked it.

Whait...Sam. How has Far Cry competition from Moden Warfare? If you mean MW3 that came out last year. Ot is it a new game named Moder Warfare? XD
ExplodingLobster
I think he just refers to the multiplayer throughout all the Call of Duty games (From CoD4: Modern Warfare onwards) in general.

Is this the highest rated game on Screw Attack this year? It is a phenomenal game though, I hope it doesn't get completely over looked.

There are a few flaws to the PC version that disappoint me but other than that, this game is really well put together and just plain fun.

Even with these minor flaws, this game is great.
