This is the lowest point in the entire Call of Duty franchise. I can admit that the new york and UK sections in the campaign were extremely well executed, but should have been saved for the games later half, instead they are used in the first half. Survival is fun at first, but dies down extremely fast and I never found myself going back to it. (4 player co-op please?) Multiplayer is abysmal, the maps are focused on choke points and spawn trapping but is pulled off far worse than in any other entry in the Call of Duty series. There are games that can pull off choke points and spawn trapping fairly well (Counter-Strike is a prime example). I'm fairly tired of people calling the graphics in this game amazing, it has an extremely unvaried color scheme and most of the objects are just painted on. Guns are also very poor looking, some people may like these graphics but they aren't anything special, especially since they just cut and paste mostly everything from mw1 and 2. Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer games really need to take a cue or two from Treyarch as now people are starting to shift more towards the Black Ops series because of its innovation, its uniqueness, as well as the fact that they pay attention to their community and listen very closely to what their community wants, this is very present in the game's zombies mode, as well as the multiplayer in portions too. All in all I'd say that (even though I hated it) mw2 was the far superior game and I think the Black Ops series will take over the helm quite easily.
I enjoy COD, but I found myself very disappointed in this particular game.
One thing I do like about Halo though is its huge amount of customization that is available via the Forge mode. I have three race obstacle courses and a football game type, each of which I thought were pretty fun and original.
In fact, one of the recent maps and game types I downloaded online was a pinball machine that keeps points. You can basically make any kind of game you want if you put enough time into it. It's like Little Big Planet, but the first person shooter version.
I found the campaign to be very bland compared to "Black Ops". And I also don't like the lack of bots for when me and my friends wanna go head to head in LOCAL
these games are so popular because the majority of players are either massive fanboys or are extremely impressed by pretty graphics and sounds and nothing more, if your not then this is about as generic as you can get, as for online? give me BF3, least there i can actually have fun.
Look people. COD is one of the best fps games out there. I know it has its downsides, but its fun to play online, or campaign. I'm glad they brought back spec ops too.
It beats halo. BIG-TIME.
go shoot yourself its overrated but fun your just jealous.
Even tough I don't have ADD I kind of felt insulted because I have Asperger syndrome and I'm on a school for kids with autism and add/adhd :/
I don't know why Call fo duty is so Popular I never liked it.
It's not a bad game but I just think it's kind of overrated
I'd rather have an FPS Like Team fortress 2 or Unreal tournement.....
I get why people hate this game but COME ON! what would've you expected? a RPG? NO! It's just a fun shooter and if you think things need to change, than play a different genre! If one genre of games was overdone and nonvariable, it are shooters. don't get me wrong, I like shooters. But they are always the same...
saying there is no skill required to play cod is incredibly ignorant. Its like saying that nascar drivers just drive in a circle. No, I'm no fan of nascar, but I can appreciate the skill needed in determining when to adjust your speed, when to pull in for a tire change, its all little things that all sythesize into a whole experiance, same with cod, saying you just run in a circle hoping not to get killed by a corner camper proves u dont play cod. And if you get killed by a corner camper, its incredibly possible to just get them in your next life, corner camping is not as big a deal as most non-cod players
(I.E: You) make it out to be, especially if u have reflexes and dont play like a 60 year old with arthritis.
Many people think CoD Black Ops is a good game. Generally speaking it's the people who are good at the game that like it better then other CoD games. Only the scrubs seem to think it's terrible, apparent by the fact that most of the games in Black Ops are filled with people who can call in dogs every round.
I'd also like to point out it's hypocritical of you to call the people at ScrewAttack CoD fanboys when you act like a raging ten-year-old on Newgrounds if someone talks smack about Battlefield.
I was being sarcastic.
Why the hell would you buy something, let-alone always buy it, when you believe it sucks?
Because they are angry fanboys?
All the Call of Duty games suck. I should know because I bought them all, even the ones on Wii. (sarc.)
two things, the people who say that there is nothing new about mw3 are sort of right but thts because cod games are games where there are some stealth missions and then some missions where you just run in and kill everyone. also if you dont like fps why get the game?
this looks like a good game but fps's arent my cup of tea. im not hating but
I do enjoy play Online in this game but the single player gets boring for me, so well i never did buy thi game cause it is not my type of game.
