This is the lowest point in the entire Call of Duty franchise. I can admit that the new york and UK sections in the campaign were extremely well executed, but should have been saved for the games later half, instead they are used in the first half. Survival is fun at first, but dies down extremely fast and I never found myself going back to it. (4 player co-op please?) Multiplayer is abysmal, the maps are focused on choke points and spawn trapping but is pulled off far worse than in any other entry in the Call of Duty series. There are games that can pull off choke points and spawn trapping fairly well (Counter-Strike is a prime example). I'm fairly tired of people calling the graphics in this game amazing, it has an extremely unvaried color scheme and most of the objects are just painted on. Guns are also very poor looking, some people may like these graphics but they aren't anything special, especially since they just cut and paste mostly everything from mw1 and 2. Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer games really need to take a cue or two from Treyarch as now people are starting to shift more towards the Black Ops series because of its innovation, its uniqueness, as well as the fact that they pay attention to their community and listen very closely to what their community wants, this is very present in the game's zombies mode, as well as the multiplayer in portions too. All in all I'd say that (even though I hated it) mw2 was the far superior game and I think the Black Ops series will take over the helm quite easily.

I enjoy COD, but I found myself very disappointed in this particular game.

I found the campaign to be very bland compared to "Black Ops". And I also don't like the lack of bots for when me and my friends wanna go head to head in LOCAL

these games are so popular because the majority of players are either massive fanboys or are extremely impressed by pretty graphics and sounds and nothing more, if your not then this is about as generic as you can get, as for online? give me BF3, least there i can actually have fun.

Look people. COD is one of the best fps games out there. I know it has its downsides, but its fun to play online, or campaign. I'm glad they brought back spec ops too. It beats halo. BIG-TIME.

I don't know why Call fo duty is so Popular I never liked it. It's not a bad game but I just think it's kind of overrated I'd rather have an FPS Like Team fortress 2 or Unreal tournement.....

I get why people hate this game but COME ON! what would've you expected? a RPG? NO! It's just a fun shooter and if you think things need to change, than play a different genre! If one genre of games was overdone and nonvariable, it are shooters. don't get me wrong, I like shooters. But they are always the same...

All the Call of Duty games suck. I should know because I bought them all, even the ones on Wii. (sarc.)

two things, the people who say that there is nothing new about mw3 are sort of right but thts because cod games are games where there are some stealth missions and then some missions where you just run in and kill everyone. also if you dont like fps why get the game?

For some reason, I couldn't even bare to play Black Ops for over 20 minutes, that one felt... weird, but this one felt pretty much like the first Modern Warfare, and I quite liked it, though I still prefer CoD 1 over any of the ones following, this one's not that bad

LOL the community rating vs ScrewAttack rating... Internet hates mainstream.

In my opinion it doesn't deserve such a high rating. The game just ignores every improvement black ops added to the series. The movement is a bit stiffer, when jumping over stuff (BO had an almost parkour feel to it), no more logo creation, no zombies, no wager matches and worst of all, quick scoping is again made extremely easy. Even the graphics look worse than Black Ops at least in the multiplayer maps. All of them look lifeless, generic, bland and dark, and they lack character, they are just maps where you play. Don't get me wrong, it's stiil and extremely fun game and I will play the living crap out of it, but Black Ops was the better game in every single aspect. So a lower score was more deserving.

Already got it, and loving it :) I'm not playing it today obviously because it's rememberance day (that and Skyrims out lol). Also, even though i prefer CoD to Battlefield, i still like Battlefield because they're both good alternatives to each other.

Gotta love Captain Price, though. He's just plain awesome. *flick, flick, puff*

This game is getting bashed into oblivion by BF3 fans. Which is a shame because they're BOTH good games in their respective categories. Like nonstop explosion unrealistic action? Call of Duty is the way to go. Like tactical realistic cooperation between squadmates? Battlefield for sure! Or heck, do you like both? Then OWN BOTH JUST LIKE ME. :D

I did not get this review it says that the game gets "over-saturated" in the story the ending is ee but the online is fun O_o why is it 8.5? I know i am going to get some hate from the fan-boys but if a game can't stand on its own in single player then it dose not deserve a 8.5 perhaps a 7

Wow G1s, no love here, huh? A 6.2 (As of 11:30 am the 9th)? Isn't that kind of harsh? I mean, I know CoD isn't my cup of tea and I'd rate it lower than most, but it seems like we might be getting overly critical.

Out of all the CoD games, I think the MW series has to be my favorite. B/c those have a single player I always come back to. Yea, I still play the single player in MW 1 and 2, for fun...and for the intel achievements, I can admit to that. But mostly for fun. Im totally getting this game...and the chain of suckers buying another FPS continues. lol

I'm done with CoD. I think I was done with it before Black Ops, but after I recieved it as a gift... I just realized I don't enjoy the series anymore. The fact they're like Michael Bay movies is so true, and I actually hate Michael Bay movies. xB Too many explosions and little to no character and personality.
