Black Nerd Hates Pokemon
Nintendo recently announced Pokemon X and Pokemon Y for the 3DS, which has Pokefans excited. Many thought Andre of Black Nerd Comedy would also be happy about it. But he reveals that he's actually held years of hatred towards Pikachu and friends... and it all has to do with the KidsWB?

I actually enjoyed Yugi-oh when it first started though even though I didn't know how to play the card game entirely (just like 70% of the population who actually watched the show)

Aww Sh**, Road Roavers?! I forgot about...that was mah Shi*! (while I don't sound believable because I forgot about the name of it) but I did watch it.

Chain Chomp yump! Great episode Andre you had me laughing all the way through. I never liked anything from Cartoon network, for instance Johnny Bravo or Dexters Lab. yeah...

Andre it looks like your childhood got screwed by the anime boom that occurred in the 90's and early 2000's that was then killed by Naruto fillers. Speaking of Naruto fillers, so why is Naruto so popular? The anime isn't as good as it used to be, and if History has run its coarse then it should be half filler now. In terms of shows that I don't like that it seams that everyone loves I have to say it has to do with anime some anime shows. With the hardcore western otaku they love the cute harem/slice of life garbage. I personally hate Azumanga and Haganai, but every year people seam to eat it up like hungry college students. At least one of the few good harems is getting a third season.

I actually remember road rovers because of that one crippled dog.
One show that I hate that seems to be so popular? Adventure time... I see no appeal to a show that is only popular because of stupid faces, arm flailing and screaming. You know what, pretty much 80% of what is on cartoon network these days I hate. At least pokemon was mildly good (especially the first season), but when you replace powerpuff girls, dexter's lab and ed, edd and eddy with adventure time and all that crap, that is where I draw the line... R.I.P. teen titans.

Hmm...I can definitely see why you feel that way about the show. It is a bit of a bummer when something popular comes out that you may not be into and then knockoffs that you don't care for take place of everything else. Back then I actually enjoyed the Pokemon series quite a bit...but that was when I was like what---six? Seven? So I really didn't know much better until Cartoon Network brought some more good stuff at the time. Something interesting I should note is that I watched the cartoon years before I actually truly played the game boy Pokemon games.
Many years later, I decided to set a challenge to watch ALL 600-something episodes during one lazy summer. ....I only managed to get to number 350-something before I gave up and it got boring. Looking back on it now, the first season was decent, but afterwards it got....really stale and old quickly. Trust me, the later seasons suck (or at least 4-7). The only reason I suggest watching it now is Team Rocket, because they are awesome. Overall, it's OK I guess. I can see why people would like it or not, but it is geared more towards kids.
In fact, looking back on many cartoons now, I can't believe I watched half of the stuff I did. Some are good even to this day, but many of them weren't that great.
What cartoon do I hate? Well I *could* take an easy target and talk about a certain colorful horse one but I've already done enough of that, so I'll think of something more....creative. Hmm....I'm not a fan of King of the Hill (even though I like South Park, Family Guy) honestly and I don't like Bob's Burgers (but don't say that too loud to Woodyman) and animes that just jump into some narrative that are practically REQUIRED to start from the beginning or you will be lost (but that's my fault I guess). But one I hate? Alvin and the Chipmunks. Why? Only one reason: those squeaky voices.
