Jobs wasn't a dick........he was a fucking raging asshole. If HALF of those really horrible things he did are true then he was a BIG fucking asshole.
I agree on most parts with Elysium, but the villain for me was just too...campy for me. Also, the plot at times was unrealistic (I know, sci-fi, but you know what I mean by that). Mostly in that part where Max had to be forced to do something he didn't and got him into that radiation poisoning. Was that really something you would see in real life? A supervisor that would force you to do something dangerous or else he'll lose the job? Bleh, maybe I don't have enough experience with fast food or assembly line jobs to see if that's true, but I thought this was rather stupid.
I agree on Jodie Foster's character being pushed aside, and the resolution to her character left much to be desired on my side. And of course, I agree on the deus-ex machina ending. Flip-table worthy on my side.
I didn't enjoy this film as much as many people. I give it 3 out of 5, but yeah, whatever.
I liked Red Mist very much. He was such a pathetic villain, but when that Rape scene popped up, my enjoyment of the character died almost instantly. I know they changed it from the comics (thank god), but the protrayal of MFer (what a stupid ass name) in the movies is that he is just this pathetic geek trying to be a villain. The fact he just was able to even consider gang rape...just killed all my enjoyment of the character.
