Fighting games were the only genre that the Dreamcast controller didn't work well with. The experience was not terrible per se, but it definitely felt awkward.

Did he say Amnesia isn't scary, just "startling"? Obviously this is a matter of opinion, so if that's how he feels, then fine, but he's in the minority on that. I just finished Amnesia for the first time about a week ago and I can honestly say that it is the single scariest work of fiction I have ever experienced in any medium. And no, not because it's "startling." In fact, there aren't even very many jump scares at all. It's all atmosphere, suspense, and dread: scary for all the right reasons. It's terrifying, and other than this guy, pretty much everyone else who has played it would agree with me.

I'm not criticizing him for having a different opinion from me, mind you. I'm just saying that what he said puts him in the minority. I don't want people who haven't played it to get the wrong impression.

Also, like Mad-hatter said, Costume Quest is the perfect Halloween game.

Trust me, he's far from the only person who thinks that way. Heck, Jared did a let's play of Amnesia and thought it wasn't scary, same with Lanipator. It's just a matter of what you find scary really. I, for instance, don't find the movies Hostel or Saw (the original) to be scary at all because the horror style doesn't do anything for me.

Dat Cat in the intro lol. Also hell yeah, Darkstalkers!! I must agree that the Saturn controller is boss when it comes to fighters. Saturn version is superior! The Bestest Darkstalkers game is the PS2's Vampire Collection. It has all the features of Vampire Chronicle plus added stuff and a 'New' Character (just a palette swap Demitri with Donovan's head really). Also I fucking loved that ending! Man Stop motion ftw! "AHHH My Colon's Empty Now!!"
