Great vid. I need to play 3D Dot Game Heroes myself if I have the chance.
They actually have a lot of overlooked, underrated, and just plain ignored games in their videos actually. There are a fair number of shmups and racing games but that's just due to their preferences. It's a great series.
"3D Dot Game Heroes is better then most Zelda games" Wow it takes some balls to say that ...i agree 100%
I know! I saw his review shortly after posting this comment and I was so happy !
Also my comment was meant to read "In australia no one has heard..."
I've played a shitload of Pocket Fighter back in the day, great game! Another overlooked gem is Alundra for PSone, very classic 2D-rpg with insane dungeons.
i really enjoyed this video. this subject has been done to DEATH and back, but you guys found a way to make it seem fresh. and the fact it was great AND longer than the typical video was awesome, i wanted it to keep going. really look forward to more.
I though Pac-Man World 2 on the Gamecube was a decent to great game. It took the basic Pac-Man elements and integrated them into a 3D platformer (it played very similar to the PS1 Crash Bandicoot games in my opinion), and it worked out perfectly. It even satisfied the classic Pac-Man fans by creating new mazes based off the game's levels, and unlockable ports of notable Pac-Man arcade games (I never unlocked Ms. Pac-Man though). It's a bit on the short side, but I'd recommend it to any Pac-Man or platformer fan.
I haven't played it, but I just saw Professional Jared make a review for the game, and from what I can gather, it looks and doesn't look like a conventional shoot 'em up game.
Skullmonkeys looked awesome. I have Predator 2 for my Mega Drive but never played it before.
I really like the Illusion games on Mega Drive but I guess its not that overlooked since it got a "kinda" sequel on 3DS ... A lame constant backtrack the same levels sequel ... urgghhh
Pocky and Rocky on Super Nintendo in Autralia. I love that game yet no one even knows it existed. Has anyone else played/heard of the game? I would really love to know what other people thought of it
Sin & Punishment: Star Successor, Arcana Heart 3, and the original Shantae come to mind.
Great video. It's nice to see footage of some stuff I've never seen.
Most overlooked game I know is Dragonforce on the Saturn. I know three people that played my copy, and then went out and bought a Saturn on the strength of that game alone. And this was back when it was current gen and full price.
I played Klonoa Empire of Dreams for the Gameboy if it's any consolidation
In terms of great underlooked games, their is no better JRPG than Grandia II
I always wanted to play Skullmonkeys but I could never find a copy where I lived...
I can't rememer if you've mentioned this game before or not but Blaster Master Blasting Again was a great PS1 game that got overlooked because it was released after the PS1 launched.
Also the Music was AWESOME

Two guys from Denver talk about videogames, mostly retro. Definitely the 4th or 5th... maybe even the 6th best Youtube show ever!
