Item Get! - Hyrule Historia

2/8/13 6:01pm

In this edition of Item Get! we take a look at Nintendo's celebration of 25 years of The Legend of Zelda in the Hyrule Historia. This full color beauty has all sorts of gems and snippets from the development teams and artists over the years. It's a hell of a deal at only about $20, and at over 250 pages, I'd say it's a necessity for any gamer. At the very least, it's worth checking out if you're a fan of the series.

Def not necessity for every gamer, but def if you enjoy Zelda franchise...

I wish it spread out the coverage of the games evenly. Wayyy too much skyward sword and not enough spread out over the course of the entire series. The timeline was the reason I bought this though and would have spent the $20 for that alone, so I can't gripe too much since I consider the rest of the book as extra.

Yea I really would have liked more art and concept work from the earlier games, but like I said, it's probably just because they had easier access to the more recent games (Skyward Sword specifically).

I actually expected it to be a little different than the Japanese version, but everything was exactly the same, oh well.

That book is a very nice buy, it's not a necessity for every gamer, but it IS a necessity for every Legend of Zelda fan.

Yea I agree. Not necessarily a bad thing though. If you couldn't tell I have a thing for books, so maybe 'every gamer' was a bit of an overstatement haha

Yeah, it should be every gamer, but unfortunately it's not...
