The Best EVER: Power Up

Here's my top 3: 1- Super Sonic from Sonic 2. 2- Smart Bomb from Lylatwars (Star Fox 64). 3- Dark Jak from Jak II: Renegade.

My Fav is the Bubble Shield in Sonic 2-3. Really helped me with the Water Levels. R.I.P. Tails. sorry buddy

Mad props for mentioning Dark Souls Sam, though I must admit Nick's was the best choice :)

If I had to choose one power-up, I'd go with the Water Shield from Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Unlike the other shields, you can only lose it from getting hit by an enemy (Fire/Lightning Shields are great until you touch water), not to mention that you can jump a little higher. :D

My favorite power up is Gradius' option. It basically gave you another gun to try and last longer without dying, and you needed every bit of help to try and avoid dying in that game.

My favorite power up? They told the Hero of Time he could be anything he wanted when he grew up, so he became a God. A Fierce Deity one could say.

i love nick's choice but my favorite has got to be the classic Fire Flower. this power was like a necessity for me in every mario game. i just felt so invincible with it

looking at my avi it's no surprise I'd say chaos emeralds. But I'll go one step further and say the super emeralds too from sonic 3 and knuckles. Going super sayain on the first half of the game is satisfying enough sometimes I'll let my rings die out so I can get 50 more just to see the transformation again but the real magic happens when you upgrade to the super emeralds and go HYPER SONIC! being able to double jump in any direction killing enemies just by staring at them, going so fast I can't even tell if I'm going the right way and most importantly the seizure inducing color effects. My eyes bleed just from thinking about it
