Classic Sunday - Japanese Game Stores
The first time Craig went to Japan, he and Angel just had to go check out the mecca of technology in Tokyo, Akihabara, and all the game stores it possessed. Well it turns out there are a lot of them, and they have a lot of games, and they're awesome!
I've wanted to visit Japan for sooo long.
Dang you Japan, you need to share all your awesome games stores and arcades. There isn't a single decent arcade in the Farmington New York area. I want to move to Japan.
If only there was a store like that near me. Unfortunately the closest one I know of is a minimum 10 min. walk to train station, 40 min. train ride, then 40 min. walk to the store (A & C Games) doesn't even compare to this one.
I was in Japan in May and went to Super Potato and its mind blowing how much stuff they had there. They had an entire section devoted to video game soundtracks which was amazing! Anyone who goes to Tokyo has to check it out.
There is also a Square-Enix cafe in Tokyo that has menu items based around their games which is kinda neat and they sell some Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy merchandise, although its pretty underwhelming.
Before I became an official g1, I do remember seeing this video late in my middle school days. Ah, sweet memories...
Also, 2 things:
1. I really want to take a trip to Japan someday.
2. I just noticed Oriental Flower playing in the background towards the end.
I think so.
I want a giant bag of old video games :(
Isn't super potato the store that Kenji Inafune went to in his Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter video?
Finally a Classic Sunday that I was actually around for lol
THIS NEEDS PART 2 UP!
