Look Wiz and Boomstick: What about Mario's invincibility leaf, or the golden flower? Why didn't you add those in the battle against sonic?

Those items were made in 2012 while this video was made around 2008 or so those items didn't exist yet

It wouldn't make a huge difference. Not to mention, Sonic has a ring shield that counters the golden flower (enemies turn into rings). It still goes back to Sonic's speed advantage.

Well what about Mario's invincibilty leaf?

The leaf is only used when Mario had died a few times. If Mario DOES use that item, that basically means Sonic consecutively defeated him five times (and you only die once in Death Battle).
