Considering I haven't really played Rock Band since I got out of Army, I'm not saddened by this news.

I'm most excited about the cosplay we're gonna see at Blizzcon.

that rock band announcement truly was hard news :(

Of course BlizzCon is back, they have a whole extra franchise's worth of players they can milk for in-game crap.

Sad to hear of the Swan Song for the music genre of this generation; but considering the over-saturation of the genre due to Activision, it was inevitable. If anything, this mirrors the fighter genre back in the 90s considering Capcom's approach to selling the same game over and over. That market became over-saturated, and fighters had to take a back seat to other games though not entirely out of the public eye. It was only during the latter part of the last decade that fighters reemerged, and now the genre is better than ever. I'm sure the same thing will happen for the music genre.
