DEATH FOR EVERYONE!
DEATH FOR EVERYONE!
I shouldn't be advertised during the time i spend playing a game, I'm paying money for it, if you can't live off of it, don't make games...
Another reason not to buy PS4. Seriously, FUCK YOU IN THE FACE SONY.
Sony bad idea we see too many ads on the pc and if we don't buy those games because of those ads or the ads in my emails or the ads I see at game stores im not gonna buy a game because of a ad interupting my game, I know its a way to make money but that would turn away everyone away from your system, I wouldnt wanna be in a heated battle with a boss and then I need to finish him off with a hit then bam ad and then I end up dying or street fighter for example fight I need a pefect to unlock something bam ad I lose that I think its a bad idea.
I find Trophy/Achievement pop ups in general very annoying but since it was a sony news i used the ps3 as an example.
Also I think I heard you can deactivte the trophy notification on 360 or was that the friend list online/offline notes? idk might be even wrong with both.
Plenty of ridiculous patents in the world that are just that....patents. Never to see the light of day. Stuffed in a box, locked up at who the feck knows where. Patents for mouse helmets and mice boot locking finger boards.....you get the idea.
Have you ever played a 360? I personally find X-Box achievements far more distracting than the PS Trophy alert.
I'm in the opinion that this will never come into fruition. It's just not......uhmm...ughhh.....I don't even want to talk about this anymore haha.
sony i love you but if you dare put ads during game play all bets are off just like mario party
I don't think you're the only one who will do that
He only showed Butler cause he was in the ad.
If Sony does that, I will not be buying their future systems. Period.
He Showed Kevin Butler too. They were both basically spokespeople for Playstation I really don't think hes that Butt hurt. He probably just needed footage
I am absolutely fine with Sony doing those kind of advertisements. As long as it means the games will be free. I'm fine with craftily placed posters or Nathan Drake eating a Subway, but I refuse to pay to watch these advertisements. It already annoys me at the cinema when you have adverts for everyday products played before the trailers start since I paid for a ticket.
Hopefully them filing for the patent is just one of those things that companies do, but then never use.
That's odd. I have had absolutely no problems with playing the videos. I think your browser is just being a bitch.
It's not an ad but sony already has a atmo-breaker called trophies. Just like the old pop ups on the early days of the internet.
The real question is are the ads already on the cartridge/Disc or are the doing this through the internet and sony demands to be always online? (so it won't be countered that easily just by going offline and play it.)
I see Sony having ads in games if you don't have a PSN Plus subscription. Gets my thumbs up for not forcing users to buy a subscription yet at the same time finding an alternative source of revenue for maintaining servers.
Sure adblocking is already done on android, why not an an adblocker for consoles xD
Could you imagine having an ad pop up during a truly intense moment in a game with few checkpoints?
