Yeah! New IP getting some love. Good!
Hey, at least he acknowledged FF's problems, right?
I was never able to play 9, so I can't give my thoughts on it.
Hmmmm, i still haven't played dragons dogma. Maybe it's time I did.
not a remake, just and HD port.
Haven't played Resistance 3 yet but gotta say that I'm happy to see a game not drag on forever but have a short but good run.
What about 9?
I thought they were going to remake Final Fantasy X? What the fuck is going on with that?
Well 6 was stated to bring it back to its horror roots, especially through Leon's story so we'll have to see how that works. I know Raccoon City was blah :P
Yeah... Resident Evil show that they care about their IP? Must be why they have pretty much ABANDONED the series roots of survival horror turning it into an Action Shooter and is instead trying to emulate call of duty & target its crowd with Racoon City & 6. Revalations was great, but mainly because it worked back in the survival horror elements into the game with roughly half the episodes focused on that style of gameplay.
I want to see a Final Fantasy VII remake just so I can play the actual game. I'm too lazy to go on eBay, and I don't have a PS3. If the game is as good as it was in the PS era, there won't be anything wrong with a remake. That being said, if Final Fantasy XV turns out to be a great game like IV, V, or VI, I'll look forward to that probably more than a VII remake.
Here's what I think on the whole FF VII thing. I'd love to see a remake of it; I thought the story was good the characters were great and I loved the futuristic setting. It's the game that got me into Final Fantasy, but that's not important. They should remake VII, it would net them a lot of cash; but they could remake others and have the same effect. What about V or VI? They both have great characters and awesome stories; VI has one thing in common with VII that helps it too. They both have villains you love to hate, in a lot of ways Kefka is worse and even more evil. They have re released FF IV 4 times in total and one was a total remake. It's not much of a stretch for them to remake V or VI; hell they could remake any of the playstation era Final Fantasy games and have success. If Square want's FF to succeed again why don't they try going back to basics gameplay wise? It could be the best thing they've done in a while; ATB system, full party control, summon monsters the works. I want the series to succeed again. We're already getting an HD version of X and that's a start.
Hopefully the future Dragon's Dogma games will have PC-version.
I should be glad that dragons dogma is now getting a sequel but I don't want to see dragons dogma 4 and it is a fps for some reason
I agree. Dragon's Dogma has lots of potential. Through sequels it can be polished into an amazing game.
Two words: Draw magic.
For what it's worth, at least we have a feasible goal to look forward to now with a possible FF7 remake.
I think they won't remake VII until they remake VI. I think they won't remake VI until they remake V.......
Indeed, it's sad to see the direction Capcom has gone this generation (and it's weird that it all of sudden happened in this generation) but it doesn't mean it's going to happen with everything they release. I mean look at Resident Evil Revelations and 6, it's still clear that Capcom does care about some of their IPs, so let's hope Dragon's Dogma gets similar treatment. I didn't get this one, but I would consider getting the 2nd one since it should have much more polish and detail.
What Backfire Said... ESP the mega man part. Before this gen and what they did to Mega Man (MML3 Especially) they were my fave developer/publisher.
