I can't wait for the Wii U to launch a better online smash bros, Mario kart, Mario tennis, mario golf, F-zero, and dear I say Mario party being online would actually be awesome enough for me to pay for a subscription though I hope its free.

If Nintendo want to charge for online, they have put a gun to their own heads and asked Microsoft to pull the trigger. You'll never, ever get people to pay for two online gaming services, and Live users are never gonna switch over. They've basically instantly alienated millions of gamers forever.

Lolwut? Plenty of people who pay for Xbox Live subscribe to other online services/games like WoW. I think a premium sevice for the Wii U would be awesome IF they did something like allow premium access to all Virtual Console games.

Actually, more Virtual Console support and a better pricing model would be great in its own right.

Difference between a subscription for an MMO and subscription for a service, dude. Apples and oranges.

Paying for more than one online service is stupid - after all, given the online multiplayer games are gonna be multiplat, paying twice for a service to play from a pool of the same games is retarded.

The reason Radical is breaking down, as I see it anyway, is because game pricing. All games have to stop being $60 a pop. Not only that no one is wanting to pay $60 for a single player only game so... yeah. Seriously. I bet you if the game was around $30-40 at launch, more people would've bought it. For me, I am waiting for a price drop on that game so... yeah, goes to show. Otherwise I would've bought it at launch if cheap... and if I played the 1st one which I have not yet.

Oh publishers... when will they learn? Their solution to lack of money is to raise the price or cut content to sell as DLC. Before you know it we will see games at $70 and they will see even a bigger loss in game sales and scratching their heads as to why. Higher price, fewer people buy. Lower price, more people buy. Bah when is someone gonna make the first move and show these publishers that varying game prices will get more sales?

Sorry for the rant. Looking forward to Mario Party 5 after dark! Should've plugged that in.

I wish all the best for the employees of Radical and that other game companies will be able to use their creative talents. I have to agree with Jared, being able to use the whole Mii-verse thing is one thing but being able to connect and play with other gamers is another. So what you are saying Nintendo is you might charge me for functionality? Boo! Hmm. I'm thinking it was a boneheaded mistake releasing those e-mails. Then again they could be trolling. Either way the I don't mind more WatchDogs! :D
