I hate that EA makes me have origin. I got about 140 games on steam and Mass effect and NFS on origin. Yes. I have you EA. But your games are good.

Clone Characters?

Character's whose move sets mimics another character. For example, Ganondorf is pretty much a clone of Captain Falcon, Falco is a clone of Fox, Lucas a clone of Ness, etc etc.

I'm more concerned with Dr. Mario being a clone of Mario in Melee than I am with Ganondorf a clone of Captain Falcon. Who's to say which punch trumps which?

The all digital tactic seems to be the most logical way for a game publisher to combat used game sales. It actually seems pretty sound, but since EA is doing it, everyone assumes it's evil.
As for SSB, I think that Sakurai is taking it the right direction, and I agree with Jared. Get rid of the clones, either all together or by giving them a brand new and unique moveset. I'd love for Falco to be given a new set rather than just being a beefier and slower Fox.
As for new ones, I would love to see Tails, who could easily step in and be an adorable version of Snake, or Krystal, but, unsurprisingly, only if it means she isn't another clone of Fox. (She has a magical staff of power, let her use that!)
