It means like the ps3 or xbox 360 you have a account for all games so you are part of the network. I am not sure if you are stuck with a single account but that seems unlikely

Damn it, Nintendo. Just stop already. You're just making things worse at this point. I'm getting so sick of this shit. They need to get their act together.
I also really want to be able to transfer all my Wii Shop account data to the Wii U so that if I decide to wipe my data on the Wii, I can preserve my purchase history. I doubt that'll happen though. I hate that so much. If I want to completely cleanly wipe my Wii (no dick jokes intended, honestly), I have to forgo my purchase history and the ability to redownload purchases. That doesn't happen on the Xbox 360 or PS3. Or Vita. Or PSP. Or iOS. Or Android. Nintendo, you suck. And after I supported you for all these years...

um they said already you can transfer all your purchases from to wii to the wiiu. Why am I the only person who remembers that?

They already confirmed that you can transfer all your Wii games to the Wii U and this was a while ago.

Geez people, I know this. They never specifically said you'll be able to redownload them with ease though. The 3DS works in a terrible way like that - do the transfer and delete your transferred stuff but want to redownload it? Gotta have your old 3DS. At least, apparently. That's what Nintendo said a while ago. I haven't actually tried it since I have no need to do so. I just hope the Wii>Wii U doesn't do the same.

Nintendo needs to drop numeric codes and give us gamertags or "Player names." There's no excuse not to.
