I am conflicted on the Mighty Number 9 and the Capcom/Mega Man stuff. I want a new Mega Man game, but I do not really want to see Mighty Number 9 be Mega Man. I guess I will just wait and see what happens.
Capcom will not be okay with a MM cameo, especially not when they have a shot at making money off of this. I do really want a Megaman game, though. I wish he could develop it all on his own, then Capcom lets him use Megaman and gets a portion of the profits, with no interference. But this is Capcom.
I seriously don't know, what goes through Capcom heads' well... heads. By what they've been doing it seems, like they intentionally want the company to go under. But now, when it seems bad, they are trying to pull themselves back up, so they might just be absolutely inept. Either way, Mighty No. 9 changed into Megaman, even if only by name, do not want. Hopefuly nothing will come out of it.
I would say yeah if they make a breath of fire game not a stinking mmorpg that has the name slapped on it.
Inafume please, no, don't do it. Capcom doesn't deserve it! they just see how much this was a success and they just crawl back like a stupid woman who ditches you for a rich guy but when she doesn't get what she expects returns to you when she finds out that you have actually made it big.
On one side I'd love to see this be a mega man game since it already is that. On the other hand... people have put millions of dollars in this game without Capcom's help, so... couldn't they publish it on their own?
Ok seriously, I'm not as mad at Capcom as most people but in this situation, fuck Capcom.
They fucked up, they are broke and now they want to desperately latch onto Inafune. I rather have Mighty Number 9 being a new IP with full freedom of creativity than having Capcom turning into another Mega Man game with them supervising it and doing whatever they want.
As a pledger of this project, I would feel indifferent if Capcom gets a hold of this.
Capcom effectively killed Megaman, and now they are paying the price. We, the fans, would rather them suffer for their actions rather than using the man they blew off in order to solve their problems.
OK... So people hate on Capcom for not publishing any Mega Man games. Inafune's considering giving MN9 to Capcom to make it into a Mega Man game and publish it under their name, and everyone goes crazy about it. Logic? What's that?
Nooooo! I did not go through that month and pledge over 100$ for them to go to capcom if they work out a deal for a megaman cameo i'm cool with that but that's it!!!!!!!
I was under the impression that when you kickstart a game, your planning on self publishing. As much as I love megaman, I would rather have Mighty No.9 and maybe have Megaman have a cameo, if he were to just turn it into a Megaman game it would feel like a waste to me after all that effort
well i like to see megaman as a unlock able character or a secret character
They should just let Megaman be in the game as a boss. As a joke though
Capcom needs the money. lol
If Megaman was included as a playable character, then YES!
if he resorted to kickstarter and got enough money from fans to make the best game he can make without a nosy publisher in the mix, he HAS to stay on that course. also kickstarter has some rules and he can be penalized by law if he decides to give it over to capcom and turn it into megaman. hed also quite a few fans.
I doubt hes going to do it, but hell will break loose if he does.
Why the hell would they need a publishing deal when they have all that money raised? Plus Capcom would ruin it anyways. If I were him I would just say to hell with Capcom.
We don't need a successor to Megaman being run-over with a cement truck.
Deep down my heart is screaming "NONONONONONONONONO!" while kicking and screaming like a 3 year old. The way Capcom has been working lately means they could ruin Mighty No. 9 completely unless Inafune manages to work a deal where he gets 100% creative freedom, no strings attached. Also while I would love to see Megaman make a triumphant return, I and many other people paid to see Mighty No. 9. We all saw and got excited for Mighty No. 9 and we all voted on Call's design. I don't want to see all that go away.
Perhaps if Inafune does publish Mighty No. 9 through Capcom and it sells well enough, he could convince them to let him work on Megaman again. Then we could get both Megaman AND Mighty No. 9.
Capcom publishing Mighty #09... this can't go badly at all, like... RE6, MM Legends, the recent fighting games and Studio Clover titles.
Personally I dont' want Inafune to be near Capcom after what they done with Megaman, Lock-on DLC, & etc. But If Inafune allow them to publish it & we can switch which character we can play with Beck & Megaman. Then I'm fine. But if Capcom wants to do their regular game practices on it with continuous Lock-on DLC & make a updated version called "Super Mighty. No9" Then I will say No
