I think the Halo thing is nice. Pretend you did it on purpose. At least you're being nice to the buyers instead of calling people hackers and complain about it. No. Let's put a big smile and say: ok, it's our mistake? So you can play a little bit more. We'll "let" you. :)
Don't get me wrong I love Sega but that's really dumb. Blizzard's security policy will consist of taking your 360 to their HQ getting it stamped and signed by the staff with your social security number and your account will still get "hacked".
Everyone caution on developing technology! Sega patented the power button, which turns things on!
Well played Microsoft, well played.
"Blizzard is still toying with the idea." Translation: we don't have a functional console RMAH yet.
Diablo 3 on consoles would certainly be....interesting. However, some games are just meant to be used only with a mouse, and Diablo may be one of those games.
that's microsoft for you.
i have yet to play diablo III ( yeah i know..) but bringing it to consoles is probably not a very good idea. since it was developed with keyboard and mouse in mind i doubt it would be pleasant to play on an gamepad to say the least.
Well if a game like Torchlight can work on consoles, why not Diablo?
Oh Blizzard, so that's why the game is so "streamlined" and the first two "difficulties" are a joke...
Diablo 3 + consoles = Bad Idea.
I'm fully behind SEGA in this. Right into the dump yard. Yep. Should have thought about that one.
I agree with the other commenters here, what the heck is SEGA doing? Aren't they still in a tight money spot? They should be putting their money and effort into making games and advertising them, not suing other people for wide-spread technology that's been around for years.
Looks like we found the Apple of the gaming industry.... SEGA... let the patent wars begin!
I am seriously pissed off about the Halo DLC. They got me so mad I actually tweeted Xbox Support. I actually used my Twitter.
my tweet "People who bought the Season Pass/LE of Halo 4 or paid for DLC get ripped off because Microsoft messed up, how is that fair?"
their response "The map pack issue is being investigated currently. We don't have updates yet, but a resolution will be found. ^JI"
That smells like the bullshit standard response. Now I know why this happened. I just don't see how they will be able to block access to the DLC, they'll probably fuck up again and make it so Season Pass owners, Limited Edition owners and people who just bought the Crimson Map can't access the DLC after the 18th.
The tweet was before they announced it was for a limited time. Xbox Support was actually saying "have at it, it's free. get it while you can" and i'm paraphrasing here.
Sounds like SEGA is trying to be like Apple. Make a patent on something so generalized, no one can avoid breaking the "patent" if they want to compete in the market.
SEGA, you just came back from your the hole that you slipped in 2006 and finally, you were able to get out of it ; What the hack are you doing?
I for one would love D3 on consoles, as then I could rent it. also big thumbs up for companies gracious "giving" of content and product to consumers here's hoping for more accid.... er charity in future.
