Decide Our New Show's Fate!

I'm sorry to say this, but they both stink. I say find a middle-ground, if your going to go with an extreme I'd go with the non-serious version, that one was still poor but it was a lot more amusing than the serious one which was horrible.
Sorry for sounding harsh :(
The Al-kaida box! hahahaahahah Sam couldn't keep it serious! haha
My thought exactly.
My big concern with the show is that neither of them are that entertaining. The serious show is almost too serious and the non-serious one seems a bit too loose. I think you can easily have the show be serious but have it more free form instead of so rigid.
I never thought about that, I agree, but I would say you can spice mix the two. Nothing too serious that it feels like I am watching CSPAN, but enough that there is a point.
Bryan's got so many quotable lines in the non-serious version!
With a title like "Mass Debaters", I say stick with the not-so serious.
Just do both; when a fun subject comes up; do a fun show, if a serious subject comes up; do a serious show. No reason to limit yourself.
perhaps alternate between the two????
While the name prepares you for comedy, I have to recommend the serious version. I don't know if you've paid a lot of attention to comments sections but I've seen and been part of several debates that go on for weeks and enter highly technical areas. Entertainment is serious business.
Mass Debaters... its almost like a childish "hur hur." But I say go with serious. I'd like to know what you guys think about topics with more depth that what can be said on SideScrollers.
I say keep both options open. I love the serious debate. There are times like new console launches when serious debate will be a great thing to hear. But there are times when the screw attack staff may just want to get on camera and debate bs topics like "which makes a better game: guns or swords?". So again, Thumbs up to BOTH styles
Serious is better.
Serious show is better, although I think its perfectly fine to make jokes and make it entertaining. However Sean is clearly a better debater then Sam is, or at least he took it a lot more seriously. Go with the serious show but I'd rather see Sam be the moderator (and provide the comedy) and someone else debate with Sean. Considering how well Ben does research for DB maybe him?
Serious version was better overall but agree with others for the idea of mixing in a little comedy for the serious version.
IMO it would be awesome if you could combine the two concepts together . have the topics of the more serious version but deliver it like the not so serious version. the serious version while trying to be serious i thought played it a bit to low key and felt to much like a political debate. at the same time the not so serious version had a lot more energy to it but the topic was just ridiculous ( which I guess was the reason why it had more energy) . so i guess for the themes the serious version but also the not so serious version for jsut being mor entertaining . if its possible to combine the two concepts in such a way that would be great.
I wanted to like the serious one more. I really did. But wtf was the funny one. It has my vote.
in my opinion, screwattack already is mostly funny, ridiculous and immature (in an good, entertaining way) content. hard news is really the only serious, regular, gaming content on the site. the serious debate version is great, and it just seems to give more of a hardcore gamer vibe and I enjoyed it a lot more. id say go with that version.
Why not both?
SAM!!!! busting out some alton brown knowledge thats why he is the most interesting screwattack member you never know what kind of knowledge will get dropped from him
