After watching the trailer for Mortal Kombat X a million times, we think we've picked up on a few things to expect from the latest MK.

I am not a fan of the Run but the dash works for me. I can see the environment interaction idea being a part, but I think what the last one did the best was get back to basics. I really don't want to see different fighting stances or weapon stances. I can also do without the "Gain Mastery of all fighters" trophies/achievements.
Love The New Mortal Kombat Game!!!!!! Look Foreword To Playing It!!!!!!!
FYI link isn't in the description
I also noticed Scorpion has his axe on his belt. 1. Awesome for them to go back to his old school weapon 2. This is another implication for the awesome MK4 system to return, where you can pull out your weapon and use it against the original user.
I will say environmental attacks sound fun, and no worries they will be able to be disabled if they are in, just like Injustice.
Ridiculously excited for this one, hope my main monk Kung Lao returns somehow. He got it so good in MK9, then got screwed right after.
But that Scorpion model was used in the game, it was 100% relevant to the game. What Double T is saying, and I was thinking the same, is that they wouldn't make this new SZ design and put in all that work on him (if you check out the MK art book from the Kollectors Edition, there is a TON of work that goes into it) they MUST be using him in the game.
You ARE right about the scar! Could this be Bi-Han?
@ Double T - They have done it before. For Deception we had a trailer of just Scorpion doing martial arts before throwing his spear at the screen. It had nothing to do with any cut scenes or anything else. Just done for the trailer.
MK is known for these two kharacters so it makes sense to use them to make an impact.
It's not Tundra. He is missing the scar over his left eye. You can see what looks like a scar when his head is impaled, but it is just blood dripping.
For all we know, this is just a different showing of Scorpion killing the original Sub Zero. How exactly he dies is always recanoned throughout the franchise so this can just be nothing more than showing his death again.
@ Mazer That makes perfect sense. My only issue with that logic is, as someone who knows the basics of modeling, that's a lot of extra work to do to make just a trailer. If you take the time to make a character to that level of detail, that means you plan to use him.
Granted that death in the MK universe is more of an obstacle then a fact, human Sub-Zero intrigues me. Is it Noob back from the dead or did they decyberize Tundra?
@ Chad and Craig
Damn you both for putting your video up over mine >.< I post my analysis like 4 hours ago! *pout* lol
@ Double T and Screwattack - The trailer only signifies the fact that the new MK is coming out and some hints at gameplay elements. I don't think the fact it was Human Sub Zero has anything to do with the actual storyline but more to showcase the two most recognizable characters of the franchise and show them battling as part of the announcement.
Does that make sense?
mk vs ki
I'm also super excited for the story.
Granted from the ending of MK9 they'd either have to find a way to revive everyone or most of them OR bring in an entirely new cast.
Who knows what they'll do but them?
Either way, I hope the story continues in some regard and that the new game has as much content as 9 or, dare I say it, EVEN MORE
Haha oh man, its nice to speculate. Love MK and what they did with MK 9... hopefully we get more of the same
Link is not in the description! lol
noticed that too. Not only did Sub Zero die in 9, he was also cyborg. In the new trailer, he's back to flesh/blood.
