The movie actually went through several different sets of writers and got script rewrites almost daily, hence the drinking, I would love to see the script that Bob Hoskins and Dennis Hopper originally saw before signing up for this glorious crap fest...I'm also one of those people that loves this movie simply because it's so terrible

This movie is coming back to me now. I have only seen it one other time. I remember getting so mad at the "Mario Mario and Luigi Mario" part.
