Nothing says "shoot-em up" like Gradius. How does the reboot of the series, Gradius Rebirth, compare to the SNES classic, Gradius III?

Honestly though, go with V...
How about The Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth Wiiware vs The Castlevania Adventure for the Gameboy
How about Super Mario Bros vs New Super Mario Bros? Or
Does the Contra code work on either of them?
Mortal Kombat 1-3 or The Mortal Kombat 9, the reboot. I choose Mortal Kombat 9.
Just goes to show reboots don't always outdo the originals. But I do recall hearing of an auto-fire just like Break mentioned. Hmm.
I think I'll get the retro. Especially since it's NA exclusive for the SNES and was never released here in Europe.
you can assign auto-fire *cough*
um than i am properly a idiot... but i never knew u could hold down the button. (even on contra)
I'm really liking this series. It's informative and entertaining.
And not being able to hold down the fire button is a deal breaker.
that not being able to hold the fire button completely ruined it
Pew pew pew....
Pew pew laser beams.

Lots of older games are making a comeback! So if you could pick up only one, which is the better buy? The old-school retro or the new-school reboot?
