i'm sorry, but, the first sparkster was hard as HELL near the end. not only that, but you just don't get that sence of "Adventure" from the first lvl of the "Reboot". you pop in RKA and that first lvl starts up...AWWWWW YAAAAAAHHH. give me the SG game any day.

Rocket Knight Adventures is better than the reboot. To be fair Rocket Knight isn't that bad of a game.

I remember Sparkster! Nice to see him come back. Surprised that the reboot found favor. Nice.

Disagree entirely the original rocket knight adventures is one of the best games on Megadrive and still one of My favourite ones period, the semi-reboot ( I say that since rocket knight takes place 16 years after rka2 aka sparkster and it's not a remake despite what some journalists say causing a lot of confusion), rocket knight on the whole was very dissapointing for a comeback especially for sparkster who deserves a hell of a lot more (hard corps uprising feels more like a spiritual successor of rka1 than rocket knight which feels like a crash bandicoot game).
Sadly if this is also konamis last chance for the franchise then it isn't fair, they should've done rk in hd sprites (2.5 doesn't work for this game and sparkster period), brought back epic boss rushes, great music, oldschool sparkster instead of his unecessary redesigns after rka1.
I am grateful konami finally brought him back but rocket knight from what I've seen and heard bombed badly, it was still partly fun but it felt nothing like an rka game, it lacks the heart, challenge and everything that made the first game so great in the first place and the camera's far too zoomed out so you can no longer see sparksters quirky expressions (which was also a big part).
I know I'm a big critic but rka is one of My favourite franchises and there's so many great places they can take this franchise if they wanted to and I'm still waiting for a worthy successor to rka1 (yeah snes sparkster looks fun but it's still not a patch on the first one), a full fledged remake of the first one in hd sprites with some extra lvls and bosses would really help this franchise a lot more and konami would massively benefit from it but they just don't seem interested :(.
I usually like your retro or reboot but for this one it's retro all the way.
