So many good memories. We all miss Nintendo Power. :( The final Nester comic had all the feels.
Nintendo power helped my brother get through the first dungeons Ocarina of Time. I loved that magazine. If it wasn't for that magazine, I wouldn't have gotten some of the games I have now! And we did get the 10th Anniversary issue. RIP NP!
Aah so many memories lol. I just couldn't help but give an "amen" at the end of this ^^
hey have any of you heard of Nintendo Force its a new magazine coming out that's a spiritual sequal to Nintendo Power
My fondest memory of Nintendo Power comes from learning to read. I learned to read with Nintendo Power back in pre-k (I was five) starting from Issue 28 when the magazine was kind of new. Without it, I wouldn't be able to read, have great memorization (classified information helped), or been the gamer I am today. I still have the Donkey Kong Country promo video they sent in the mail too.
I'm gonna go look for old issues on the internet to relive some memories. Many thanks Nintendo Power. Gone, but not forgotten.
Note, I am not emo
I watched this video, went to the nintendo power website, and had a crying fit. After Nintendo Power dying, the world deserves to end. I would neglect the internet for killing Nintendo Power, but without the internet, I am nothing.
Nintendo Power was my number 1 source of upcoming games and tips & tricks. It had a great run...kudos to you, Nintendo Power :)
I dunno in US magazines but in my country was something call club nintendo ahh so good memories
Number 6, why?! Did you really need to rub that one in? Just ow. I did get a letter back from them saying to look for it...bastards.
This was a nice tribute to the magazine. It sucks that Nintendo Power ended. l have to say that even though I loved it the most in the old days (8-bit & 16-bit), it was still very good until the very end. I love the article they had about Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed in the September issue.
As a long time fan/reader, thank you Nintendo Power. I wish my parents got me a subscription of it in the past.
I had Bart vs the Space Mutants when I was a kid... Plz don't buy that game lol
hummm... should I do a Top Ten reasons why the SA magazine was awesome? XD
You better get this guy on skype and show him at the next Sidescrollers! XD
The entire time I was reading through the final issue, I had to try and keep the tears from hitting the pages so the issue would say as pristine as possible. I had the same thoughts about that poster too. I was looking through all the covers and I remember every single one of them since '93. My whole early life can be charted on that poster. My fondest memories of NP are all from the Classified Information section, from Yoshi's Island bonus games (XXYBA!) to the extensive Goldeneye feature.
Ya better give him a shout-out on Sidescrollers this week. For him to not only respond but to also see him as a g1 is, as you might say, just studly.
you can't be serious? ha ha thanks for responding and congrats on getting that SNES. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
Hey, no joke, this is Chris Pickin, from Allegan, MI. My cousin just posted this video on my facebook, haha, I used to write to Nintendo Power ALL the time, and yes! We DID get a SNES, and had it for years and years!
I CAN'T STOP CRYING!
number 6 is how i feel about sidescrollers forum questions
