I would say metal gear rising but i have not played it enough to say its as difficult as the classics but singularity was pretty hard on the 360.

Great Sidescrollers! The Rayman Legends delay doesn't sound good for the Wii U, but unfortunately business is business... : / The hardest game I have played recently probably is...Battle Kid 2. Sure you have unlimited continues for normal mode but you still need skill to beat it. Good luck in Unfair mode, lol! Also, that judge story reminds of if I backtalk long ago to my parents then they gave me worse punishments.

The hardest game I have played recently is Super Meat Boy.

House of the dead 3 was really difficult for me and I only beat it recently
Mass Distraction
Magician Lord for the Neo Geo X. Sure, that game had unlimited continues but it was brutally hard. Just getting to the set highscores is pretty much impossible.

My 1st instinct for a newer hard game is of course Dark Souls, cuz I've been playin' the shit out of it, but I think every1 else has already talked enough about it. So I'll go with 1 of my fav games ever Resident Evil 4! Not on normal mode really but Professional was brilliantly designed, it turned every little thing u can do into a skill that u need 2 master. Everything from ammo conservation, item sorting/rationing/managing, upgrading ur guns, managing money, and even back tracking to the merchant. Here's my favorite example: There's a room after a merchant that has so many guys I decided to run past them saving as much ammo as I cud, but later my clip on my rifle was empty(and ammo for it is rare) so I decided it was an opportune time to get a capacity upgrade from the merchant but I had to backtrack thru the room I mentioned. It was SO ingeniously designed that alone I wud've made it thru narrowly escaping every hit but with Ashley tagging along behind me, every hit landed on her & u can't leave her back a room 4 obvious reasons. The ONLY reason I made it thru was cuz I kinda cheated & had her in Plate Armor(which made her invincible). That's honestly the only reason I full on beat the game to. But I digress, of course u can blow thru the rooms w/o tooo much trouble but ur NOT gonna get far my 1st 3 attempts I kinda did that I got kinda far. Every time tho, I reached an absolute dead end point cuz I didn't hav NEARLY enough to deal with the situation at hand! Anyway, sorry if I rambled to much & I hope I made my point well enough :)

There's a way to beat that boss on Mega Man 2. You just destroy the necessary walls. Use Item 1 to get to some of the guns.

I went trough hell to beat SuperMeatBoy and even if you have unlimited continue, it's not like you can beat it by luck. Same for Hotline Miami. So recent games can be hard too.

Where the hell is the audio version? I have alot of driving to do tomorrow!
