Not sure if you're ignorant or just plain stupid. The main function of the gunblade is by pulling the trigger causes the blade to release an explosive shockwave that increases the damage. The force of the blade could definitely stagger someone if timed correctly. If you had pointed our this crucial crucial crucial point and still disliked the weapon, I'll understand, but what you did here was just striking out the weapons negatives and didn't even know what a gunblade actually does. Seriously, get your facts right, simply googling gunblade can get you to the Final Fantasy Wiki and it'll tell you what a gunblade does.

Little known fact, The FF8 gunblade has no barrel. So it would blow up if he ever pulled the trigger. don't belive me? Take a closer look!
