Because Gon isnt a Tekken character, he was a character from a Japanese manga series that was thrown in for a cameo.

I remember a playstation magazine giving a demo of this away for free... not just a disk full of demo's, no... just tekken 3 in an awesome black case with 2 playable characters... eddy and some chick... the marketing worked and I bought the game a week before christmas out of my own pocket in the hope my parents would get me a Playstation... come to think of it, I was a lousy kid...

Tekken 3 is my favorite. This one introduced me to the Tekken series, and I feel it's one of the best.

Hworanang could be cheap, but you really did have to use the control stick to maximize his move set...but you're right, you never punch with him. EVER.

NOT true. His DF1+2 (special mid) was an excellent poke, and I used it all the time. Also, from flamingo, you would use punchs to reset many of his flamingo infinite combos.
