Video Game Vault - Frogger: He's Back!
Jump over lava, avoid bee swarms, collect power-up bugs, save your froggy friends, rule the world!
I've Played Frogger on PS3 , the one you can buy on PSN , Frogger DX ? And that one isn't all that bad . The Atari 2600 ( i guess ) version is awesome , even till today i can still pick it up and play it , This one on PSone is also goos but haaaaaaaard !
What are you trying to say here? Punctuation is critical.
ok frogger:hes back i get it crappy zoom in but still a good game but wcw vs nWo revenge u put it in top 20 nintendo 64 games and in best ever weapons but u dont bother to put an amazing game like that in the FUCKING vault come on nick g1s comment on this if u think this a good idea
this is one of the few games that will actually make me rage. havent played this since i was like 8 or 9 (im 21 now) but my god it was hard back then. i've never gotten past the cloud level to this day.
It seems around this time there were a lot of remakes of arcade classics, this was one of the best alongside Centipede and Space Invaders.
N-nuh-no MUSIC?! Oh God you're breaking my heart! D:
Yes yes yes yes yes!!!! This is my third most nostalgic game of all time. This, alongside Roller Coaster Tycoon, now all you need to throw in the Vault is DX Ball and M&L Superstar Saga, and my holy quadrology will be complete!
I've wanted to play this game again, but I can't quite get it to work on my new computer. Or rather, it all works fine, EXCEPT FOR THE MUSIC. The music is all silent. This is unacceptable; the music is the best part of the game. From my experience, it is THE most overlooked soundtrack of all time.
I also really loved the level design. It felt so rewarding every time you manage your way into a new part of the area. Yeah I guess the camera really was zoomed way too far in, and probably added a lot of challenge that didn't need to be there from a gameplay perspective. But it was challenge I willingly accepted, and made it so satisfying to beat this game! Though, on retrospect, I've never beaten every level (the last level in the game is pretty easy. The last levels of Cloud Zone, Sewer Zone and Desert Zone I don't think I ever could beat).
So yeah because of the camera, it becomes quite a trial and error challenge curve. But personally, I actually really like trial and error gameplay, so long as the threats and dangers make sense. Speaking of which, I have another defense for the camera angle...
If the game is designed to make you feel like a frog, then perhaps it makes SENSE that you can't see very far away from you; you're very small (you're slightly smaller than a fully grown bull dog! And a... stampeding bull......) and a real life frog (presumably) would have to spend a lot of time looking at the ground beneath him in order to jump his way around, only able to pay attention to what's completely up-close to him.
GOD I have to fix this game on my PC so I can play it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Frogger Returns is good. I haven't played Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition, but if it is anything like Pac-Man Championship Edition, it would be awesome.
There's Frogger Returns which is a reboot, I think.
One of the BEST OSTs in gaming history. I don't know how Nick didn't touch on that.
I had this game for PC. Like Nick said, it was okay.
Surprisingly this became one of my favorites a long time ago. I liked the easy-going nature of it but the cameras took all the fun out of it.
There was a Frogger DX kind of game on PS3/360.
Oh God, this game. I remember playing this on Windows 95 so much.
I recall my neighbor having this game. Twas fun but I never could beat it.
The only Frogger game I played was the SNES version which was the exact same as the arcade version but with nicer graphics. Also I believe the SNES and Genesis versions of Frogger were the last games released for the consoles with a 1998 release.
wow this was the second playstation game I ever owned brings back memories
Ooo I spent hours on the PC playing and beating this game when I was 13! But this game really tested my patience from falling in the cloud levels to the stupid sludge in the sewer levels to dying from rogue boulders and beetles in the cactus levels (everything else was ok as long as you were willing to explore and die a few times). This game had a sequel too called Swampy's Revenge, but that was way too easy.
I remember this game. i had it on playstation in the early 2000's and i remember it was both fun and really hard.. so hard that i never completed the game..
This game was balls hard. But the best part was the 4 player split screen mode.
