The Game OverThinker - Episode 66 "Why Do You Love Video Games?"
Taking a cue from the Film Crit Hulk (filmcrithulk.wordpress.com), The Game OverThinker spends this episode talking about all of the great reasons why he loves video games. Check out the original article, here: http://badassdigest.com/2012/02/05/why-you-love-movies/
I didn't blow up Hitlers head but I blow up his whole body in Wolfenstein 3D.
Ugh... that last one. Middle school thats what it was. The entire place was sports central and I was the overweight nerd in the back. Falling behind was too easy that will you need to hit continue just slips on away. Then you get back to work saving the kingdom cause it don't matter what they think. Its more then just a game its a chance for you to do those great things no one can. Video games led me to the career I am working on today, writing. yeah bit off of video games, but that ability to do anything anywhere anyhow. that was what made writing first come to me. I could make anything and with my talents for storytelling I would be unbeatable.
well I sure hope that works cause I'm still no where near publishing. Chapter 7 of my novel oh boy!
I couldn't have said this better myself. Very well done. -much as DOOM gave me nightmares...ugh-
Man. This is deep. I'd add more, but you hit the right chords and memories with this one. Great job, moviebob aka The Game Overthinker.

I've seen this episode at least 3 or 4 times. It's definitely a good one.
I love games because I get to join awesome characters on cool adventures, I get to hit stuff, I get to be a hero, it gives me common ground with so many people, it gives me something to look forward to, or to complain about, and it gives me so much more.
I also want to applaud you, Bob, for the "Yeah, I know. Doesn't matter.", it had me in stitches.
EDIT: I can't believe I forgot this one, since it's kinda important. I love gaming because of Sonic Adventure. Ah, yes. It was happenin'.
I love video games because of the satisfaction of accomplishment followed by the fact that there is so much more to do. And I smile knowing that as I continue through the game every part will be so much fun.
