Ah, you must be new here. We actually try something out before we start bitching around these parts.
And by this oint, Moviebob no doubt knows that CoD is the "cool thing to hate", so he would instead back it up with his usual philosophy and logic. There are always a few holes in his arguments, but he also ALWAYS makes a few good points every episode.

Not quite.

wow are you wrong. maybe next time wait to see the ep first? he talks about the ollie north promoting call of duty and how he feels about it. in this he has no problem with the game more with the marketing strategy that activision have used. so its nothing like "call of duty is ruining gamming forever" its more this type of marketing could make outsiders see gaming in a bad light

That was pretty deep. Great work and analysis! I thought I'd lend my two cents on something this topic reminded me of.
I've always praised the Metal Gear series, not just because of its' intense action and stealth and developed cutscenes, but for their themes, particularly the nuclear issues and how war has nothing glorious about it. Sure, you could shoot people, but you were given a story that questions why you kill people, why you choose to engage them.
"Why did you come here? Well, I'll tell you then. You enjoy all the killing, that's why."
The video game industry NEEDS more games like those to make better light of where it stands on views of the world.
