WHY THE FUCK DID HE PUT DALE GRIBBLE AND HIS GUN SUPPORTERS AS HIS REPRESENTATION OF OLIVER NORTH SUPPORTERS?

Dale hates the government and is a conspiracy theorist. Yeah he likes guns but so do I and I'm a democrat. You go hunting Bob so it not like you have anything against guns. So I'm a little puzzled.

Also you should watch some of the Jimquisition or debate with him a bit.

That's was quite the unexpected point of view, While I don't agree with all of it I do agree that Cod and the racist community associated with it is a bad thing.

Although your sterotyping of people in the south as racial slurring cod playing right wing extremists is a bit racist in it's own respect. As someone living in the country I've absorbed my share of racial slurs on xbox live due to my "Redneck Hick" accent.

I do wish I had joined Nintendo several years ago in the next gen race, Zelda Mario and Smash Bros games sound infinitely more appealing to me than Cod and Halo Games these days!

The Game Overthinker is the worst think to happen to this site since Craig unceremoniously kicked Handsome Tom out of ownership of the site.

and that's not a slam against the current crew. I'd take the current ScrewAttack roster over Tom coming back anyday. But the fact is the way that shit went down was shady, it will forever be an albatross around Craig's neck. Sorry but that's just the way it is.

But yea, Bob, you don't want to be a part of video games anymore? Then get gone. You aren't doing anybody any favors by hanging around with your diet Atop the Fourth Wall bullshit.

Look , if you don't like Bob then don't watch him. There's plenty of content on Screwattack that you can watch. I personally want to here his opinions and discuss it with my fellow G1s. And if you miss Handsome Tom so .bad, than check out The Game Heroes on That Guy With the Glasses.

Dude, I may not agree with or even like North, but I ask you... what exactly about his philosophy is right wing? I'll give you that many "Republicans" are of that mind set, but can you actually explain what about that particular ideology is "right" or conservative? Ad Hominine, really... from the game over thinker, sent to destroy ignorance..?

If you really want to lead up to your mission... rather than reach for active spin just state the facts and lets us think it out for ourselves, rather than trying to lead us while pretending not to. FOR SHAME

The whole Iran-Contra deal was a big "anti-communist" assault to the point that they were willing to deal with a known enemy (and there's a theory that Reagan actually arranged with Iran for the hostages to be held exclusively so he could "save them" as a political play) and a group that was borderline genocidal drug dealers (which could be attributed in no small part to the drug war in Mexico) to overthrow a regime that was communist. They made deals with essentially two devils because they thought it was a better deal than dealing with a shaky communist regime.

This is right on par with many right wing ideals since the McCarthy era where "communism is far more evil than the people who are more than willing to blow up half the planet to get their way."

Exactly what X-Rider said below. Activision know what they are doing. They are stirring controversy by using North in their commercial in an attempt to get as much as free air time as they can get.

Still things are not that dramatic. We are talking about a single franchise and a single sub-genre (military FPS) and not only that but most of the target group they aim to sell their product don't know who North is and don't even care. And this is something Activision knows very well. So free advertisement without affecting its buyers in the slightest? That's a win-win situation for them if I ever saw one.

Activision isn't dumb they are fully aware that hiring Oliver North will stir up controversy. I can imagine they're doing this is either to intentionally have outcry that gives CoD more publicity or some misguided attempt to get Fox News to relent their annual assault on the franchise by using someone they like.
