I thought the single-player campaign to the first Black Ops focused well enough on those decisions.

I didn't really get to far into Black Ops to really know how the game was set up, but I am more of asking Activision to at certain points have the player make decisions based on what he/she believes is right and not what decision the game is wanting the player to continue the storyline.

So...did the Contras have anything to do with Contra? :P
X-rider
They inspired the name of the game and that's about it.

Quite a lot to think about, thanks for the insight.

I always thought metal gear did a good job about dealing with violence and the nature of war than most other military games.

Pretty good episode, Bob. You made some real sobering points about where gaming seems to be at these days and its a bit scary, I don't mind saying. I honestly can't believe Activision would willingly put Oliver North in anything of theirs, ESPECIALLY CoD. I know it makes sense from a certain stand point, him being a former, publicly well known, military person and TV personality, but wow, they could have chosen a hell of a lot of better people then him.

Personally, I would've chosen R. Lee Ermey. [=)]

Watching this episode gave me an interesting idea...

Without shows like this, made by people like yourself, Bob, I think the media as a whole would be very different. And I do mean for the worse. Without a conscience and foresight, without a sense of exploration and fun, where might we be in a decade?
