Good God, it took SO long for me to start playing my Wii U... Like, it took 6 hours to get the firmware update downloaded, but even before that, it took an additional 3 hours of me and my friend (who's a wiz with computers) to re-work the Internet so that the Wii U could connect to the bloody thing!

Nice to see he neglected to mentioned one of the infamous console hardware defects of all time: the cartridge connector on, you guessed it, THE FUCKING NES.
Yes I know he said that he had to get his own fixed. But glossing over the millions of people (including myself) who spend exorbitant amounts of time blowing on cartridges, cleaning cartridges, cleaning pin connectors, removing and reinserting cartridges over and over again just to get the game to fucking turn on was a real dick move. It's as if he took every opportunity to spin everything into a twisted, biased "new stuff sux, old stuff rox" argument.

never thought of that as a reason our consoles are starting to die n need replacing after some time theese day ( specially 360 for me it'd seem) .. i honestly miss when a console was just games, does it make sense to try to get more bang for your buck persay ? sure .. do i need it or use it ever half the time? ..no i don't need it i have other things for that

He's saying that we should go back to the days when they didn't need to have moving parts. They just needed to play games. I can't just sit down and believe we can't make a console that can play games. Now I will continue to shoot down as many of your statements as I can. 1. I still don't see a problem with cartridges. 2. I love the PlayStations, but luck was involved. They walked in, gave SEGA the boot, and made a decent console. 3. Name one. 4. http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/01/forbes-nintendo-making-6-profit-on-eve... 5. VSauce3

Geez, this video is a crock. Gee why did the original NES work better than today's consoles.Um let's see. NES used carts with few if any moving parts. Wii U uses a OPTICAL DRIVE WHICH HAS MOVING PARTS. Gee I wonder which is going to work better. Moron. I remember when the Game Overthinker used to be good, that is until he started bashing on Sony saying they got lucky (which is far from the truth btw, there are reasons why the PS1 and PS2 sold as well as they did and luck had nothing to do with it), then his show has been going majorly downhill. Lots of his stuff he presents as facts are inaccurate such as Nintendo coming into this gen flushed with cash thanks to the Wii when it wasn't since it has had it's first losses since the 1800's (yeah Nintendo is that old folks).

It's pretty obvious why the Wii U and today's consoles in general don't work too well. It's because they're so complicated. Whenever technology becomes more complicated it becomes more failure-prone. You know what technology is well-known for its reliability and low failure rate? Rocks.

Since when did Bob have a Jersey accent?
Erik
Always, I've heard he ditches the accent to sound more "sophisticated"
Rigel7
He's from Boston. He apparently took communications courses to try to get rid of his Boston accent.
