Such a wonderful video, yet sad at the same time, RIP Nintendo Power Magazine, you will be missed.
A beautiful tribute. Thank you for this.
This made me feel old, but happy. Thank you, Game-Overthinker. I only read one issue from Nintendo, and that was the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon one. Now I'm going to miss Nintendo Power.
Had to pause at 9:58, first Nintendo Power I ever owned...
Thanks Bob now im pretty sad from that
I find Intended's final cover page a bit satisfying. They end the era with almost an identical cover from the very first Cover.
Bravo sir, bravo. Who know a magazine would hit so hard in the heart strings.
I'll be definitely missing Nintendo because it gave me a lot of childhood memories that I'll never forget even when I get old. If my time permits, my essays will be dedicated to Nintendo and to all it's fans.
Is really touching, also proud not only an gamer but a Nintendo fan at heart. logo designing service
Actually, I am about the same age as you Bob and I got Red and Blue when they came out... I had a sister that was 8 years younger than me so that was my excuse at the time...
For those of you who were disheartened to find the lack of the one with Super Mario Sunshine on the cover, I have a video of it, showing off that game's section of the magazine and also a "Favorite Games" edition of the "Player's Pulse" section. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmGN-90TKR0
Seeing ManKind on one of the covers brought back so many memories
Lets bring it back, We the people have a voice and our voice will be heard if we get together and make petitions. I don't want my children to live in a world where the power is not in your hands!!
people bought it because of nostalgia and collectivness
even if I am not american so I did not have nintendo power The video still touched and I nintendo was a thing when Four swords ,timesplitters 2 and Wind Waker
I think I died a little inside.
Let us begin... operation POWERFALL!

I stopped subscribing around the first Skyward Sword cover, I think, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
The fact is, sometime around the Future acquisition, Nintendo Power kinda stopped being Nintendo Power. They stopped doing strategy. They stopped doing codes. Their reviews got less-in-depth and more biased. And all the inside-scoops that they touted for years, stopped being all that impressive as I was finding out everything that I used to get from them through websites like Screwattack, weeks in advance.
I remember when the Gamecube was coming out and they were the first to talk about it... but when the Wii came out, and especially when the 3DS was coming out, I knew everything before it even arrived in my mailbox.
The strategy guides, in the internet age, would've been the only reason to keep subscribing, because you can't get that on GameFAQs, certainly not something so well-put-together, coming directly from the makers of the game. When they stopped doing that, it was just another magazine, and in the internet age, magazines die.
I'll be fairly honest, my magazine growing up was Tips and Tricks which as far as I can tell, died a lot earlier.
